"So..." I started off. "So?" Spade asked before shoveling more pasta into his mouth. "I was wondering..." I trialed off, not knowing exactly how to say this.
"You were wondering what?" He picked up the glass of water beside him and took a sip.
"Who you gave your virginity to?" I ask and he chokes on that sip of water. "You know the girl who wasn't me?" I continued. His eyes bulged out and I just stared as he started coughing.
"Or boy," I corrected myself and almost laughed as he started to laugh harder. "Do you want some more water? You seem to be coughing a lot," I pick up back his glass of water to give him the water but he uses his hands to wave and tell me no.
Spade took a few deep breaths to steady his breathing before he resumed our conversation. "Ex-girlfriend," he finally answered.
I huffed and refrained from rolling my eyes. "Name?" I asked. He stared at me and answered without a second thought.
"Emily."
"For how long?" I asked.
"Six years I think," he answered, scratching the nape of his neck. "How old are you?" I asked. My stomach was churning. I didn't like the idea of him being with someone for so long but that was before he met me.
"I'm twenty-one, I was sixteen when it happened, two years after we started dating, both of us wanted it so we did it, we broke up when I was eighteen because I thought I was going to find my mate but a year later when I realized I didn't we got back together and broke up a year later which is last year," he explained.
"I was with a guy for three years and never gave into that shit, but whatever," I scoffed continued to eat my food as nothing happened.
"Kizara, I'm sorry, I knew it was wrong and I still did it and I've always regretted it but now I regret it the most," he apologized and try to get my attention but I kept my head down and ate. "It's whatever but if I see that bitch near me I'll kill her," I decided.
"You don't mean that," he thought out loud. He had the ability to underestimate me? "Yes I do," I smiled sarcastically but was dead serious.
"It wasn't her fault, She's honestly a nice person and you can't kill her, She's a warrior, Kyston will kill you," he shrugged his shoulders. I look at the glass of water next to me that is untouched, just as my hand opens, the glass shatters.
Spade didn't even seem surprised.
"And I'll kill him."
"He's the king and the queen is just like you," he defended them. I stayed silent while I continued to eat. Spade sighed a minute later. "Have you even ever killed someone?" He asked. I rolled my eyes before answering. "No," I answered honestly.
"Hundreds are dead because of me though," I say sadly referring to my old pack.
"Zar..."
"I think I'm finished," I push the plate to him and jumped through the glass that had fallen down on the floor and ran up the stairs.
