Taehyung-Ex

Y/n POV
I was walking around the park trying to calm myself down after a stressful day. I noticed many happy couples holding hands without a care in the world. My smile brightened looking at the pure joy written on their faces.

However, it reminded me of painful memories.

(Flashback)

Taehyung and I were walking around the park, admiring the whole place.

"The view really is pretty, right Tae?"

"Yep."

I looked over to him only to see him already staring at me.

"W-what are you doing?"

My cheeks flushed pink.

"Staring at the beautiful view." He winked at me.

I looked away, feeling embarrassed at his intense stare. I felt my face getting a dark shade of red.

"Y/n?" His deep voice softly called out.

"Hmm?"

"Will we be forever together?"

I looked at him again for a few seconds and I tightly held his hands.

"Of course we will! I promise. Why do you ask?"

"Just making sure. I love you Y/n."

I smiled at his confession.

"I love you too Kim Taehyung."

(Flashback End)

I bitterly smiled at the thought. I felt guilt eating my insides. I broke his heart. I broke our everlasting promise. I betrayed his trust. He had every right to hate me for the rest of his life.

"Hey babe." A voice called out.

I turned to the voice, only to see Jinyoung. The guy I was arranged to. The reason why I had to break up with the love of my life.

"Hi." I said coldly.

I absolutely hated him. He loved me, but I didn't mirror his feelings. Sometimes he would force his "love" onto me. I grew to have hatred toward the guy I would call my "husband."

"Let's go babe. Our parents are calling us to go home so we can discuss our wedding."

I rolled my eyes, but I reluctantly agreed.

(Next Day)

I was exploring around the park again to try and escape Jinyoung. All of a sudden, my eyes landed on a familiar couple.

When I looked closer, my heart sank. It was Kim Taehyung, with another girl in his arms. They looked extremely happy and comfortable with each other.

I fought back tears. It's okay, I reassured myself. If he is happy, then I will be happy and support him.

I sat down on a bench to try and recollect my thoughts. He moved on pretty quickly, I thought.

I looked down, experiencing sadness that he had another girl to love forever.
I was too late.

I wasn't aware that another figure sat down beside me. I looked to my right and saw the girl that Taehyung was with.

She looked at me, feeling pity.

"Hey, are you okay? I noticed that you were crying?"

I slightly smiled.

"Uhm yeah I'm fine. What are you doing here?"

"Oh! I was waiting for Taehyung because he was getting us ice cream."

I felt the tears coming back.

"T-taehyung?"

"My boyfriend."

"Oh I see."

"So what's your name?"

"It's Y/n. You?"

"I'm Irene. Let's exchange numbers!"

I gave her my phone and she put in her number.

I was going to ask her more questions, but then I heard someone call Irene.

"Hey babe. What are you doing here?" Taehyung asked to Irene completely ignoring me.

"Hi Tae! I was just talking to Y/n over here since I was really bored."

He glanced over to me and looked back to Irene.

"Well next time choose someone better to talk to."

He grabbed her hand and they walked away.

I still stayed in my seat. My heart broke at his harsh words.

I really am sorry Taehyung. If only you understood why I had to break up with you.

Irene POV
"Yah! Tae, why did you say something so mean to her?"

"Don't worry. She deserves it."

My eyebrows furrowed at his answer. What did he mean by that? Something seems off... Do they know each other? Did they date? I had way too many questions and I was going to get to the bottom of it.

Y/n POV
I was laying in my bed looking at the ceiling. I guess Taehyung really has moved on from me. I wish I could just break up with Jinyoung and get back to Taehyung but even that was too late. He already had a girlfriend.

I was thinking about our happy memories, but then I heard my phone chime. It was from Irene.

"Hey. Do you want to meet up at the park again in like an hour?"

I was really bored and meeting her didn't seem too bad so I agreed.

(1 hour later)

When I arrived, I saw Irene with another person. When I walked closer, I saw Taehyung there as well.

What was he doing here?

"Hey Y/n!"

She waved me closer.

"Uh what is Taehyung doing here?"

Irene took both our hands.

"Look. I know both of you guys have some unresolved issues right now. I am going to give both of you guys a chance to talk it out and make it up to each other."

She walked away leaving me and Taehyung alone.

None of us spoke, making it very awkward. He then asked me first.

"W-why?"

I looked at him. He was already crying.

"Why did you break up with me? Do you know how much it hurt? You promised Y/n. We would be together forever."

My heard shattered at his words.

"I am so so sorry Taehyung. But my parents arranged me with another guy. So I was forced to break up with you. But I still love you. So damn much."

He softly held my hands and looked into my eyes.

"I already know Y/n. Irene already told me about Jinyoung. They are friends. She explained everything to me already."

I was speechless. He knew the whole time?

"Y/n. Is there any chance that we can be together again?"

"B-but what about Irene?"

"Ah she already understood everything. She said that I deserve to be happy because she could tell I wasn't happy in the relationship."

"And Jinyoung?"

"Irene also explained to your parents already because she knew about how he would force you to love him so they have called off the wedding."

"So Y/n. Will you be my girlfriend again?"
