Hyeongjun's POV

"Maybe, we can be a perfect couple." Hangyul-hyung looked at me with a serious expression. "Come on hyung, I know you are joking. Cut it off!" That was all I can reply with his sudden statement.

"Besides, you are way older than me hyung. One of my type is either the same age as me, or at least old than me by a year or two." I saw his expression suddenly shift from a serious one to something I can't read.

"Hyeongjun, I am not messing with you right now. Can't you see I am dead serious?" And he pointed at his face which was evidently emotionless at the moment.

"And I can't understand why you don't have any feelings for me." Hangyul hyung's expression changed immediately after he finished talking.

He is showing me too many emotions and feelings at a short period of time. These things are escalating so fast that I don't know what to expect next. And this is too much for me to handle.

"You are serious hyung? I thought you were only joking." I giggled a little to show how funny those things he was saying, but all of my laughs were faked. And I know he knows it. "Don't joke like that hyung. It's not a good joke." Tears were already escaping my eyes and I think he gets it now.

"You're a coward." And he left me there in the alley of noodles, frozen in place because he just showed his frustration on me. "Hey hyung, wait for m-!" I chased after him and ran through the volumes of people lining up in near the end of the alley.

When I made a right turn, someone bumped on me and I immediately fell on the floor. "Ouch!" The impact between us really made my chest ache, and my butt sting from the hard floor. I looked up to see who he was and there he is, Hangyul-hyung sending me daggers through his eyes.

I just looked at him for several seconds without breaking eye contact. And as a best actress I am, I made my eyes teary by rubbing them and exposing them again in the cold air. And after several seconds, solid tears came running down my eyes and he was shocked. People are passing us by and some of them started whispering to each other.

"Look at that thug; he made the cute guy cry. What a total jerk." The old woman passed beside me with a young boy clinging to her. "Hey, look at that guy. He is so awful, I saw him bump into that guy on the floor and he didn't even said he was sorry." Another teenager passed by me and helped me stand up.

"If you are not going to say sorry to him, you are a toxic member of this society." The high-school girl stood beside me with her hands on my shoulder. "Can you please shut up? Besides, you don't even have the right to barge in our quarrel. We are lovers, and you stay out of our problem." Hangyul-hyung removed the girl's hands on my shoulders and took me with him to the farthest counter.

"What's wrong with you? Are you a woman who plays tantrums in public to gain stupid attention? Besides, you are so-" Hangyul-hyung looked at me and stopped speaking after he realized something was wrong. "Wait, Hyeongjun-ah, I am so sorr-" He caressed my face and later panicked.

Tears were now streaming down my face, real tears that showed up after the hurtful words Hangyul-hyung inflicted upon me. "Why are you like that hyung? I thought you were just joking. I didn't know you were serious. How can you say those words at me? Are you that insensitive?" I grabbed my hand away from him, and cried in silence because we are in a queue.

I left him in the counter and he called out for me. "Hey, where are you going?" He shouted while holding a pack of spicy noodles. "I will just get something, I will be back fast." I hurried into the beverage section and grabbed three packs of strawberry milk.

I went back to the counter and avoided his eyes. "Here, kindly add this to the grocery." And I tossed around the packs and ignored him while the lady in the counter eyed us. "Are the two of you okay? LQ?" She raised her eyebrows when she asked that specific question.

"No!" We both answered in chorus, which made the lady smile more in an awkward way. "Hehe, two youngsters are denying the truth. It's okay, you can probably solve that lovers quarrel after sometime. But for now, the bill is here." And she pointed out to the sum that was shown on the screen.

I pulled out my wallet from the front pocket of my jeans when Hangyul hyung already handed her several pieces of paper bills which made me stop. 'Fast hands, yeah. Just like those when we were in the lib-' I paused on my thoughts when I remembered that encounter in the library.

Hangyul's POV

My sudden plan to confess towards Hyeongjun seemed like went for the worst, obviously not for the best. I handed the cashier some paper bills to pay for the groceries that we bought. And after some seconds, I saw him shake his head multiple times as if he wants to throw away something he remembered.

"What is it?" I held his shoulders which made him freeze and look down at the floor. "You know, not answering my questions will definitely make it worse." And he seemed surprised with my facade. "I-" He was stuttering and I can feel the nervousness he has right now. "I just remembered something I shouldn't have remembered. That's all."

He brushed off my hands and he picked up the grocery bags and left the store quickly. I made a run for it and catched up with him a couple of seconds later. "Why are you reacting strangely towards my question earlier?" I didn't waste any more time and asked him straight to the point.

"Because that was the first time someone actually confessed about their feelings to me. And I was totally surprised and I don't know how to react. That's just it." And he nibbled through his fingers. I stayed silent for the next couple of minutes and he seemed to be a little pre-occupied. He was scrolling through his phone over and over, dialing and texting someone.

When my patience barely reached its limits, I asked him whats wrong. "Why are you biting your nails? Are you a baby? What's wrong?" And he looked at me. I was caught off-guard when I noticed something different about him. His skin was colder, and his lips were pale and almost white.

"Hyung-" He called out to me and he fainted. The grocery bags he was holding fell to the floor, but I didn't mind those. Hyeongjun's state is way more important than those cup of noodles. "Hey, Hyeongjun-ah!" I tried to shake him but he was not budging. I tried to touch his face but he was cold, super cold. I took out my phone and dialed for my brother's number.

"Hey, Hyeongjun is in a bad condition. I will take him to the hospital. I'll text you the address, meet me later there. And if you can also do this, please call his guardians or any family members. I need them to know where he is." I didn't wait for Eunsang to answer and I ended the call immediately.

I called for an ambulance and took him to the nearest hospital.
