I'm really sorry if you dont like it, I'm not good with liu kang's personality and such and I know little about the hanahaki disease but this is sad just a warning before you read.

You love liu kang with all your heart, but he was in love with someone else, katana...so it was a one sided love and you knew it was it was clear to you, you knew he loved someone else you just couldn't stop loving him. You would cough up flower petals of different colors and shapes everytime you saw them together or even just liu kang because deep down you knew he didn't love you back.
Liu kang was standing outside your bedroom listening to you cough and wheeze up the petals
"Y/n, are you ok? Why are you coughing so much, are you sick?" liu kang asks
"I'm fine"
"I'm coming in"
"No do-"
Liu kang walks in to see flower petals
All over the floor where you are sitting and hanging from your mouth
"Y/n?! Are you ok? You have hanahaki disease? Why didn't you tell me?!"
"...I- because I- can't tell you.."
"Y/n, why didnt you tell me, it has to be a one sided love correct? So who do you love?"
"You liu kang, I love you.."
"I-im sorry y/n but, I love katana my heart belongs to her not you but we can still be friends right?"
"Yeah...sure..."
"Great. I got to go though katana is probably looking for me"
He kisses the top of your head and leaves.
You knew liu kang didn't know much about hanahaki disease so you would never tell him anything about it.
Once he leaves and shuts the door you start to cough up more petals but you clean up the petals and go to bed upset and in tears.

ou still loved liu kang you couldn't get him out of your heart even threw all the pain of it. You pretended to no longer love him and always made sure to not cough around people sence liu kang was killed by raiden years ago you didn't want people to get worried
You were about to go to bed but you started to cough up petals again but then it hit you you can't breath the petals are suffocating you even if you cough up some petals there still more there. Darkness starts to surround your vision, bringing you into total darkness but you felt peaceful no long in pain.
The next morning
"Hey y/n, you in there? We have a mission today, don't want you to be late" sonya says on the other side of the door
No response
"I'm coming in y/n"
Sonya opens the door to find you laying on the ground dead with petals and vines on the floor around you and some are still in your mouth
"Y/n?!, GUYS!!" Sonya yells for the others
"What is it sonya?"
"Y/N?!" They all run over to you and surround you they all knew you used to love liu kang but everyone thought you stopped loving him years ago
"She died from hanahaki disease..." hanzo says
"What is that?" Sonya asks
After hanzo explained what the disease was they buried you under the blossom tree you would always go to after liu kang was killed. Your head stone was a little angel on top with your name engraved into the stone slab below the angel statue.
