Courtney's POV

It was 5:53 in the morning. I was in my room brushing out my hair happily humming to myself. I was trying to decide whether to put my hair into a ponytail or to just put on a headband.

I mean, I did the headband three times in a row, but... I don't know. Okay, so our school is having a dress down day.

They banned it last year because of girls like Heather, trying to show off their slim figure. But they're giving it another shot this year.

And.... Maybe I want to look good.... For myself of course. Though I never thought this hard about trying to look presentable.

I already had a list planned out in case a situation like this popped up. Now I'm having second thoughts about this.

I decided to wear my hair down with a long white sleeve shirt and formal black skirt.

I put on some black leggings and black boots with a beige colored headband.

I picked up my mirror and examined how I looked. Hm... I look pretty good.

I put my mirror back down and headed down stairs. I poured myself a cup of apple juice and sat down at the table.

"Wow. Someone's looking fancy this morning." My mom grinned.

"Yeah. Just wanted to go for a nice formal look today." I smiled happily taking a sip of my apple juice.

"You seem like you look forward to going to school. Something good happening?"

"Um n-no. I'm just. Really glad that I have an 101 in Geometry. Really that's all." I lied.

I am not giving Scott credit for my good mood. Though is he the reason I'm in such a good mood?

I don't know. As soon as he left yesterday. I just felt completely different.

And it was sweet of him to walk me home yester-

OKAY. STOP. I am not falling for some random farm boy. I have work to take care of.

Seriously. Why is my heart racing at the thought of him.....

Okay... I've come to the conclusion that I might have a tiny small liking for him. Only a tiny bit.

Sure he's cute, but in a sloppy rustic sort of way. Like a shack with nice curtains. Or a donkey wearing a wig.

"Courtney?!" My mom called.

"Huh?!" I responded.

"I called your name 5 times. I was asking if you want chocolate chip or blueberry walffles?"

"O-oh. Chocolate please." I grinned.

"You sure you okay? You've been acting weird all morning."

"I'm fine mom. Really. I'm just loving my grades. That's all."

"Uh huh." My mom said obviously not believing me.

"Really I am."

"Okay. If you say so." My mom said.

I took a sip of my apple juice. I seriously can't get him out of my head.

'You're Pretty when you're mad'

'Sure thing babe'

'Stay close. I got your back'

Oh my gosh I completely forgot we held hands yesterday.

"Courtney are you blushing" I heard my mom ask breaking my train of thought.

"N-no!" I widened my eyes.
