Courtney's POV

So far this school year has been pretty great. I haven't had too much trouble so far. I mean, me and Scott are still friends.

Me and Gwen are kind of friends now. Kinda. Like I said, I won't push it too far. We both seem to get along most making Heather mad. Which sounds petty but Heather's usually the one that starts it. And my first quarter grades were all As.

Me and Scott were currently at lunch together. I'm starting to think I have more than a little crush on him. He's very intresting and sweet. When he wants to be that is.

He seems a lot nicer when he talks to me. When he talks to people like Sam his whole demeanor changes. But still, I like him.

"One time I went on a field trip and we were staying in this fancy hotel. It was soon great. And I actually slept on a pillow filled with feathers. Back on the farm it's a burlap sack filled with small animals. You ever have a pillow bite your face?"

"N-no I haven't. Maybe just sleep without it. It seems like it causes more harm than actually benefit." I told him.

"Yeah. Agreed."

"Hey Princess. Mind if I sit here?" I heard in a voice that I knew to well. My mood went from good to annoyed.

"Duncan!? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm having lunch."

"You got your roster changed?"

"Nope. I snuck in and now I'm cutting class. This is a lot better than hiding in the stall." He grinned.

"Seriously. Duncan, go to class." I told him.

"Shh. Be quite. Not so loud. Besides I've been skipping all day, as if I'm stopping now. Don't worry Court I'll go to my assign period next period."

"Good. You need to-"

"Which is lunch." He grinned.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. Say you have Mr. Hunter right? Can I copy your homework?"

"What?! No way, do it yourself." I glared." Quit slacking off and actually do something right for once."

"Pfft. What's so wrong with sharing homework?"

"It defeats the purpose. It's meant to give you practice in what you're learning. If you get it off of someone else it kinda defeats the purpose." I glared.

"Fine. Whatever princess. What about you farm boy? You sharing?"

"Um.... I gue-" Scott started

"No, he isn't." I cut him off." You two aren't even friends. Why should he have share with you?"

"He doesn't have to I was just asking."

"Well he isn't going to share. You're only talking to him for your own personal gain. Now go to class." I glared.

"Look, I'll stop asking your boyfriend for his homework. Can I just sit here to lay low?" Duncan asked.

"He's not my boyfriend. And no." I glared.

"Come on Princess. It's just one lunch period."

"Which I was using to talk to Scott until you interrupted. Go sit at someone else's table or I'm telling." I glared.

"Fine." He got up and walked off.

"Why do you two argue so much?" Scott asked.

"Is that even a question? You've seen his behavior. He's a total neanderthal." I stated.
