Rose's POV
I rode my horse in silent amazement as we followed the wintery path down to the main city of Ceasian, Seraleen. The only thing I knew about the cruel kingdom was the name of its cities. I had no idea it looked... this magnificent.
The purple sky collided with the grayish clouds as it lay a wispy hand over the wintery top mountains; looking picturesque. Along the mountains, were built in houses that ranged from high to low towers and squared residences. I could see a faint light coming from the city itself as the high towers released small puffs of darkening smoke. A city built amidst fields of ivory snow.
The roads were paved in elegantly, and you can see the great detail in every tower. A whispery fog enveloped the rest of the sleeping city, the silence piercing the cold air.
I tried to keep the look of awe out of my face.
This was certainly not how I imagined the Kingdom of Ceasian.
Perhaps I was expecting a cave with barbarians running around a fire, perhaps even hooting like cavemen.
We walked down a clean trail, and I watched suddenly as the fog began to clear from a certain part of the city that I hadn't noticed. For one thing, it was way above the ground and stood over the city as if it were its guardian.
Ah.
My eyes turned to the magnificent castle that stood just above the city on a slice of the mountain.
Twelve massive rounded towers with pointed tops that held the Ceasian flag, formed a protective wall on two sides of the castle. It was connected to giant harsh walls made of obsidian. Shining windows were scattered around the walls of the castle in fairly symmetrical patterns, along with well-planned holes for archers and artillery.
