Chapter 9

I feel my face start to burn.

"Julie, can I tell you something?" He asks me, looking me dead in the eyes.

I nod.

"Never mind." He says in sort of a panicky tone, breaking the eye contact.

"Oh okay..." I say.

"Are you hungry?" He asks.

"Not really." I say fiddling with my hands.

I look up after awhile. Ashton had the most beautiful view of the sky from his window and I couldn't believe I had just noticed it.

I stare out the window in awe.

"The sky is so beautiful." I whisper.

Ashton lets out a small giggle. "A beautiful sky for a beautiful girl like you."

"That's corny." I let out a small laugh.

"I'm sorry." He laughs.

"Do you want to do something? Listen to music perhaps?" He laughs.

"Sure." I smile. "Do you listen to Ed Sheeran?" I ask.

"Yeah." He says with an embarrassed expression on his face.

"I love him so much, can we listen to him?" I ask a little too excited.

"Sure. What song?"

"Afire Love." I tell him.

He gets onto his laptop and the music begins to play.

Things were all good yesterday

And then the devil took your memory

And if you fell to your death today

I hope that heaven is your resting place

I heard the doctors put your chest in pain

But then that could've been the medicine

And now you're lying in the bed again

Either way I'll cry with the rest of them

And my father told me, son

"Do you want to lay down?" Ashton asks me while the song is going.

I nod with a smile.

"Would you mind if I layed next to you?" He asks me.

I shake my head.

He lays on the side my body is facing. He looks me in the eyes.

He whispers, "It's only us, it's only now, a simple wish, it's only tonight."

We stare at each other for a few more seconds before he presses his lips against mine. The kiss doesn't really take me as a surprise. I was actually expecting it.

The kiss starts to get rather rough and passionate before I knew it. Ashton pins me down onto the bed, still not breaking the kiss, his tall figure hovering over me. He starts to grind on me, rather roughly, making me squirm underneath him.

"Ashton, we shouldn't." I say breaking the kiss.

The truth was I was still a virgin, and I didn't want to change that yet.

He looks embarrassed.

"I'm sorry. I'm stupid. I know you like Luke, but no here I am, thinking you like me as much as I like you." He says, both hurt and anger in my voice.

"How do you know I like Luke? Who told you? Please don't tell anyone please." I tell him, my voice coming out small.
