Interviewing a TikToker

~ Chapter 4 ~

My alarm goes off, sending me flying out of Kio's arms. I start getting ready. Mads said I could use her makeup, so I do that first. Once I finish getting ready, it was 6:15. I walk back into Kio's room quietly.
"Hey, Kio, I'm leaving now!" I say. He nods and kisses me. I grab his hoodie I wore alst night and quickly put it on before heading to my car. I didn't know how to handle today. It was gonna be my first time, since last year, going to classes with out Alex. I text Luke.

Me- How is she?
Luke- She's in a coma. They don't think she's gonna make it. Her mom is coming her on a plane today. They are letting us in now.
Me- I'm gonna be there in a couple hours. I'm not going to classes today. I can't
___
I call my school and tell them I was having a family emergency before going back in the house. I open the door to Kio's room and he looks at me.
"Why are you back? You are gonna be late.
"I've been in the driveway for 15 minutes talking to Luke. She's in a coma and the doctors don't think she is gonna make it!" I manage to get out before crying. Kio quickly gets up and wraps his arms around me.
"Did you call your school?" Kio asks.
"Yeah, I told Luke I would come in a couple hours once you were ready!" I say.
"Let's go right now!" Kio says. On the way to the hospital, I call my mom.
"Hi sweetie! Shouldn't you be in classes right now?" My mom asks upon answering.
"Alex is in the hospital. Luke and her crashed yesterday. She's in a coma and they don't think she is gonna make it. Mom Luke just proposed to her!" I say. Kio gives my hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Y/N! Who is taking you? Is Luke with her?" My mom asks.
"He has been since yesterday. Kio is!" I say.
"Isn't Kio that TokTik bout you like?" My mom asks. Kio heard it and smiles.
"Yes mom. He can hear you. We've been hanging out since Saurday and he's kinda my boyfriend!" I say.
"Treat my child right or I will kill you!" My mom says. Kio smiles.
"I would and could never think about hurting your daughter Mrs. L/N!" Kio says, making me smile. We pull into the hospital parking lot and my smile fades.
"Mom, we just pulled up. I'll talk to you later! I love you!" I say.
"I love you too my sweet one!" She repliess and hangs up. Kio had texted Luke we were on our way, so when we arrived, Luke was outside. I gt out and hug him.
"Y/N! I am so sorry! I wasn't paying attention to the road and I went through a red light! A semi was coming and we spun. We flipped. It's all my fault!" Luke cries.
"It's not Luke! It's gonna be-" I try to say it was gonna be ok but I couldn't. My best friend is dying and we can't do anything about it.
"Let's go see her!" Luke says. When we get up to the room doctors and nurses were scurrying around the room frantically.
"'What's going on?" Kio asks Alex's mom.
"Her heat rate just dropped! They think she is about to go!" She says. I wrap my arms around the woman I call my second mom.
"Lila! I'm so sorry!" I say. Her mom hugs me tighter.
"I was gonna be a husband! I'm gonna have to be a single dad, I was gonna beher everything!" Luke says.
"She's pregnant?" I ask him. He nods.
"We were gonna suprise you, today actually with the gender! It's girl! We've been hiding it with HUGE clothes for 8  months! Her name is Nova Grace and we are lucky she survived!" Luke says. That's when the heart rate reader stopped beeping. My best friend is gone. Kio looked at me.
"No, NO, NO!" I scream. Kio wraps his arms around me as I sob.
"Hey, look at me!" Kio says. I look up at him.
"Kio, she's gone. My best friend is gone!" I say. Kio holds me closer and the doctors move so we can say our goodbyes before they take her.
"Baby, go see her!" Kio says. When I see her face, I started crying again. Lila holds onto my hand and I hold Luke's.
"She's gone. My best friend is gone!" I say. We all hug and Kio just watches me. Th doctors bring in their daughter and I hold her.

I swear on everything that I will take care of you Nova Grace. I'm gonna miss your mommy so much but I will always be here for you princess. Your Tia loves you so much!

"Hi Nova!" Kio says, holding one of her hands. I smile at him.
"Nova Grace Davis. Alex convinced me to name her after you so we put your middle name in as hers!" Luke says.
"Princess Nova. We can set her up a room in the house or we could move!" I say.
"I don't think it's good to leave you alone and I can't take care of Nova alone right now!" Luke says.
"I'm graduating like tomorrow because I took that early college class in highschool so I will always be home!" I say. Luke nods. It felt like it had only been an hour but it was now 10 P.M.
"I just can't believe she's gone!" Lila says. I nod.
"She's been my best friend sinc day 1!" I say.
"Nova looks like her when she was born!" Lila says.
"She really does. God, I'm gonna miss her so much!" I say. Kio pulls me closer to him after I hand Nova to Luke.
"We are taking Nova home tomorrow!" Luke says.
"My graduation day!" I smile. My mom is gonna be here. Alex and I were supposed to dance on stage but w- I won't be doing that now. My phone rings.
"Hey sweetie, what hospital are you guys at?" My mom asks. Just go to the house. Me and Kio will be there soon!" I say. We quickly say our goodbyes and head to my house. We pull in at the same time as my mom.
"Hey sweetie how's A-" I knew Kio cut her off by shaking his head because she mouthed 'What Happened?'.
"She's gone mom!" I say. Kio reaches for my hand but my mom pulls me into a tight hug.
"Where's Luke? Why isn't he here with you? And her mom?" My mom asks. I roll my eyes.
"Alx hid her pregnancy. She was 8 months and the baby somehow made it. Nova Grace Davis, after me!" I say.
"She was pregnant? That is so disgusting. I hope you know that if you ever get pregnant before marriage, I am disowning you!" My mom starts talking bad about Alex.
"MOM SHE JUST DIED! STOP TALKING BAD ABOUT HER BEFORE YOU STAY IN A HOTEL!" I yell. Kio grabs me.
"OK HAVE FUN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO STAY HERE BECUASE I'M DONE PAYING FOR YOU! I'M NOT GOING TO YOUR GRADUATION!" My mom screams at me before leaving.
"What the hell!" Kio says.
"Well that was a great first meeting with my mom and boyfriend!" I say.
"OH AND HAVE FUN GETTING PREGNANT AND HAVING HIM LEAVE YOU W****!" My mom yells out the uber window before flipping me off.
"Wow. Your best friend just died and you are taking it hard. You two have always been there fr eachother and one of the biggest days of you rlife, you mom and best friend won't be there!"  Kio says.
"That's my mom for you. Are you gonna come?" I ask. Kio nods.
"Of course Y/N!" Kio says. I wrap my arms around him.
