The Y/N (XYZ), Yuya, Gong, and Sylvio look upon the destroyed city of Heartland. Y/N (XYZ) sheds a tear.

Y/N (XYZ): Who knows what happened since we've been gone.

Yuya: Who did this?

Y/N (XYZ): Simple. Duel Academy.

A person appears, Kite Tenjo. Y/N (XYZ) sees him.

Y/N (XYZ): Kite! Is everyone okay?

Kite: Y/N (XYZ), why are you with these people?

Y/N (XYZ): It's a long story, Kite. Now take us to the Resistance.

Kite: Can't do that. I don't trust them.

Y/N (XYZ): Then trust me then.

Kite: I do trust you but I'm not taking any chances.

Sylvio: Well if you won't take us willingly, I'll duel you. If I win, then you take us.

Kite: Even if you do, I still won't. But I'm glad to crush you if you want.

Y/N (XYZ): Come on, Kite. Don't do this.

Kite: Sorry. No turning back now.

Sylvio duels Kite and struggles. Gong decides to help but the two are still defeated easily.

Kite: Hmph. Not worth my time. Stay down, Duel Academy scum.

Y/N (Standard): We're not from Duel Academy.

Kite: Sorry but I'm not taking any chances. Y/N (XYZ) and Shay, return to the Resistance or I won't be so friendly anymore.

Y/N (XYZ): Fine.

Y/N (XYZ) and Shay start to walk away.

Y/N (Standard): You're leaving, Tsukumo?

Y/N (XYZ): It's nothing personal but I have people I have to go check on.

Y/N (XYZ) and Shay walk away.

Kite: Will you face me next?

Y/N (Standard): Of course.

Kite: Fine. Prepare to be crushed! Go Photon Transformation!

Yuya: That's new. Be careful, Y/N (Standard).

Turn 1- Kite

Y/N (Standard)- 4000 LP/ Kite- 4000 LP

Kite: I'll go first. My turn. I summon Cipher Wing in ATK Mode!

Cipher Wing: Level 4- Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 1200 DEF

Kite: Since I control a Cypher Wing, I can special summon another from my hand to the field. Now I activate the Continuous Spell: Double Exposure. Once per turn, I can double the level of two Level 6 or lower monsters.

Cipher Wing: Level 4 - - -> Level 8

Kite: I now overlay my two Level 8 Cipher Wings to build the Overlay Network. Now, by way of the cosmic energies that make up our galaxies, I'll make something just as mighty! I XYZ Summon! Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon!

Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon: Level 8- 3000 ATK/ 2500 DEF

Yuya: He's not messing around.

Kite: I place one card facedown and end my turn.

Turn 2- Y/N (Standard)

Y/N (Standard)- 4000 LP/ Kite- 4000 LP

Y/N (Standard): My turn. Draw. I use Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum Scale. I'm taking control of this duel starting now! I can now summon monsters from levels 2 through 7 all at the same time. Swing far, Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action! Turning up the heat, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragons! Scratch your way to victory, Performapal Silver Claw!

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Level 7: Scale 4- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Peformapal Silver Claw: Level 4: Scale: 5- 1800 ATK/ 700 DEF

Yuya: Since when did you have those monsters?

Y/N (Standard): For a while now. I just don't use this deck very often. Battle. Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon!

Yuya: But it has less ATK!

Y/N (Standard): Let's change that. Quick Play Magic Card: Rush Recklessly, activate. This raises Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon's ATK by 700 ATK until the end of this turn. Spiral Flame Strike.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon- 2500 ATK - - -> 3200 ATK

Kite: I activate the effect of my continuous spell: Double Exposure. This lets me change the name of your Performapal Silver Claw to Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Now I activate my continuous trap: Double Censorship. When you have two monsters on the field with the same name and one of them attacks, I can negate your attack.

Y/N (Standard): You got lucky. I place a card facedown. Turn end. Now Odd Eye's ATK returns to normal.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon- 3200 ATK - - -> 2500 ATK

Turn 3- Kite

Y/N (Standard)- 4000 LP/ Kite- 4000 LP

Kite: My turn. I draw. I activate Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon's special ability. Once per turn, I can use one Overlay Unit which allows me to take control of one of your monsters. Its effects are negated, its name becomes Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon, and it can't attack directly. I choose Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Cipher Subjection.

Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon- 2500 ATK - - -> 3000 ATK

Kite: I activate the continuous spell: Cipher Interference. If I control more than one Cipher monster with the same name and one battles, its ATK doubles until the end of my Battle Phase.

Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon: 3000 ATK - - -> 6000 ATK

Kite: Galaxy Eyes, attack Performapal Silver Claw. Cipher Stream of Destruction!

Y/N (Standard): Trap card, open: Half Unbreak. For the rest of this turn, Performapal Silver Claw can't be destroyed by battle and any damage I take is halved. Ahh!

Y/N (Standard)- 4000 LP - - -> 1900 LP

Kite: Galaxy Eyes Cipher Dragon, attack! Cipher Stream of Destruction!

Y/N (Standard): Urk.

Y/N (Standard)- 1900 LP - - -> 1000 LP

Kite: You got lucky. I'll end you my next turn. I place one card facedown and end my turn.

Turn 4- Y/N (Standard)

Y/N (Standard)- 1000 LP/ Kite- 4000 LP

Y/N (Standard): My turn. Draw. I summon Dragonpulse Magician in ATK Mode.

Dragonpulse Magician: Level 4: Scale: 1- 1800 ATK/ 900 DEF

Y/N (Standard): I overlay my Level 4 Performapal Silver Claw and Dragonpulse Magician to build the Overlay Network. Cloaked in shadows and relentless in its objective, I call upon the most dangerous of dragons! I XYZ Summon! Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon!

Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon: Rank 4- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Kite: No way. How did you get that dragon?

Y/N (Standard): It's a dragon that I have in common with my XYZ counterpart.

Kite: Well, you two do look alike.

Shay: Stand down, Kite. He is my comrade.

Shay appears with a boy and a girl. Y/N (XYZ) appears with Tori, Rio, Cathy, Anna, and Dextra.

Kite: Comrade?

Y/N (XYZ): Yes, Kite. They fought alongside us in the Synchro Dimension.

Kite: Synchro Dimension?

Dextra: Kite, come back with us and work with us again.

Kite: I'm better off alone.

Kite activates a spell card and vanishes. The rest of the group is disappointed.
