never once since becoming used to and loving the technology of earth he'd hate it and rely on it more than these last few months, the steady beeping of the green lines on the black screen permanently ingrained into his mind, the slow yet steady rise and fall pathing the way to anxiety and fear day in and day out. the smells of a hospital clinging to his nose more with every visit, yet here laid his beloved (y/n) her skin paled with sickness and hooked up to various machines, daemos healing magic and medicines did nothing more but the halt what was coming.anillness that wasn't understood by the once well versed Ryhs plagued his wife. the illness that pulled her closer and closer to death with each passing day. taking his lover's fail hand into his, Ryhs looked to her as her eyes opened

"Hello dear" Rhys spoke with his gentle voice as (y/n) smiled, her throat to dry and sore to speak as she ever so lightly squeezed her husbands hand, it pained Ryhs to see the woman he loved in such a condition, it was like this for 3 months now, no one knew how this illness befell such a healthy and young person but Ryhs would blame whatever cruel deity seemed to take watch over this world, a single tear fell down his cheek as the two stared into the eyes of each other and the once steady lines took a brief descend before stabilizing, her heart was no longer strong enough to keep going much longer and Rhys knew this

"can I get you anything?" he asked, wanting her to be comfortable as a nurse entered to change out the IV bag. (y/n) shook her head before her body relaxed as she watched the nurse, the medications she was on allowed her to rest without pin and retain the smile she always kept whilst she was awake, she knew as well as anyone her time was near. and as her vitals took a slow drop Ryhs stood and kissed his wife gently on the lips

"I signed up for an eternity with you, yet you're leaving so soon?" he asked, his voice straining as the weak hand of his wife rose and cupped his cheek and with her cracked and dry voice she spoke as the green lines continued to grow more spaced and weaker.

"I know you'd wish to join me, but you must wait until your time. we have our little (child's gender), remember. she needs her dad to be strong. and I still love you even if death does us part." her words faded as the lines stopped, one last kiss sealing the last moments of life for (y/n). Rhys' knees bucked as the flat line sounded and nurses, as well as doctors, flowed into the room in an attempt to save the life of dear (y/n) but it was far too late fr the young woman. as death did part a marriage that day. though the young life of (kids name) would live on for there mother. the next few years were bound to be rough.
