You're Strong

I brush the tear rolling off my cheeks. It took me a minute to regain myself. I wasn't gonna let this school see me weak, and especially not because of Corbin Madison.

I grabbed my phone to text Lucie

Me: Plz tell me u can talk rn

Me: I need you

Me: I miss you call me asap

I knew she probably wouldn't have service being in the air in all, but at least she new I needed to talk.

I needed to fix this but it felt to late. Connor along with the rest of this school knows I'm pregnant. Soon the kids will tell their parent and just like always word will spread amongst the rich and powerful, including my parents.

My father thinks I'm a disappointment might as well prove him right.

I keep my head down walking back Lizzie, attempting to hide from the glares I feel burning into the back of my head. I tell her I'm not feeling so well and she understands. 

I walk back to the dorm, holding back my tears, ready to release the water works again. My hand is shaky and I find it hard to open my room. Was I finally turn the key I open the door surprised to see who's in the room.

"Lucie?" 

"Lils!" she looks up at me from sifting through her suitcase. 

How is she here?

"You're suppose to be sipping mai tais and making out with hot foreign men on a beach." I say jokingly... but not really. This trip was suppose be good for her after her break up.

"Well I was suppose too, but apparently the weather in Bora Bora doesn't agree with us." She laughs shaking her head. She walks up towards me inspecting something. "Puffy eyes, tearstained cheeks? Who the hell did this to you?"

"Who else?" I reply and she nods her head already knowing who I'm talking about.

"I swear that boy's gonna make me do something I'm gonna regret."

"Luc it's not good" I manage to say holding back the tears. She pats the side of her bed motioning me to sit next to her. I do and I feel the tears forming in my eyes.

"You did what your heart told you and sure using your heart wasn't exactly the right path but it's who you are." She attempts to comfort me.

Confused I ask, "what do you mean?"

"From the moment we met, we instantly became best friends. Which means I know you, I know who you truly are. As much as you try to hide your emotions from others, you lay them out on an open platter. But don't forget you're strong and don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

I was strong, key word was. Now all I felt like was a broken record. "Do you think what I did makes me sick?"

"Lils I know this might sound crazy but no. Everyone else might think so but I don't. You're heart was in the right place. You have this image of a perfect family and you went after it, for your baby."

"Thanks" I mutter into her shoulder. "I love you"

"Love you too babes."
