Pagkagising ko ay nakarating na kami sa Mt. Elbio. It was eight in the morning. Hindi pa pinapababa ang mga estudyante, because probably the profs and some school staffs are still settling some things. And then I saw Vernon's 24 unread messages. Hindi ba yun natulog at puro text lang ang inatupag? Nakonsensya tuloy ako na natulog ako at hindi siya agad nasagot.

When I finished reading his messages I immediately replied kasi kanina pa niya sinend iyon at baka naghintay pa siya kung magrereply ako.

After hitting send, I badly wanted to slap myself.

God!

I shouldn't have said that!

Okay na sana yung reply e.

Sorry, I fell asleep. I'm fine here. How about you?

Bakit ba kasi dinagdagan ko pa sa huli ng,

I don't trust that girl around you too.

Ugh!

Pakiramdam ko uminit ang pisngi ko sa kahihiyan. Ano ba naman kasing pinagsasabi ko!

Few moment later, I received a reply from him.

Vernon

I'm yours. Rest assured boss ;)

Bakit ang bilis niya mabasa?! Don't tell me he's just really waiting for me to reply, isn't he?

Pakiramdam ko para akong junior high school na nireply-an ni crush ang message ko.

I can feel my heart pounding hard inside my chest because of anticipation and excitement for his reply. But I chose not to reply for now. Ano ba naman kasi ang sasabihin ko?

I was about to get some chips from my bag when I felt Trevor's head still leaning on my shoulder. Nagkapalit siguro kami ng position kanina habang tulog. Hahayaan ko na lang muna sana siya makatulog, but I saw Khalil and he looks like he was about to wake us up.

He tapped Trevor's arms. "Hey sleepyhead, wake up! Bababa na ng bus."

Trevor slowly opened his eyes upon hearing Khalil.

"Noisy, brocolli." He murmured, then rubbed his eyes.

He rolled his eyes at Trevor before glanced at me. "Whatever. Let's go."

I watched how other students from different busses came out. I could only see Vernon with his friends from afar now. And of course with Theia who's always beside him. At nagkataon na sila pa ang partners.

We fall in line beneath Mt. Elbio for some reminders on what we are going to do.

Tumikhim ang school student council president. "So before we start, I want to inform everyone that we hid some flags on the way to the top of this mountain where we will stay for later."

"Each flag has equivalent points that will be added to your grades. Kaya naman pagbutihin niyo at makakuha ng kahit tig iisa dahil malaking dagdag ito para sa grades ninyo." He paused and then continued reading on his phone. "We have blue, yellow and red. Blue has an equivalent of 20 points, yellow for 15 points and red for 5 points."
