I was pacing back and forth on the side because the swimming competition hasn't started yet.
"Nasaan ka ba, Euri?" Carlynn asked on the phone.
"Dito sa pool area --"
"What?! Bakit nandyan ka?"
"Ininvite kasi ako ni Trevor na panoorin siya. Hindi ko naman siya matanggihan." I explained to her.
"So paano sila Prix at Vernon, diba ngayon din 'yong laro nila?" she asked, I could imagine she did a facepalm.
Naupo uli ako sa bleachers. "Si Kuya mamayang hapon pa. Kay Vernon naman, nag send na ko ng message sa kanya kung anong oras ang laban nila, pero wala pa siyang reply." Napasapo rin ako ng nuo.
Kasi naman Euri bakit mo nakalimutan itanong sa kanya kagabi!
"My God, Eurica!" she exclaimed. "Edi paano kung sabay pala sila ni Trevor ngayon ng oras?"
Paano nga kaya kung...
E, hindi naman ako pwedeng umalis na lang dito basta. Paano na lang si Trev?
"See? You can't answer me," she said. "Don't worry tatawagan ko sila Khalil. Nandoon sila sa Xavier ngayon."
Nakahinga ako ng maluwag sa sinabi ni Lynn. "Thank you, Lynn! Patanong naman sila Khalil kung start na ng game sa basketball."
"Alright... nasa pool area ka diba?" she asked again.
"Oo, bakit?" I answered.
"Sige, pupuntahan ka namin dyan ni Jacks." she replied before hanging up.
I placed my bag and the banner on the seats beside me, saving it for Carlynn and Kuya Jacks later.
Another few moments passed before I saw the players, starting to line up beside the pool.
There was a short ceremony followed by introducing the players.
"Donny Guzman, from the University of the Philippines!"
The crowd clapped and cheered for him.
"Donny babes!"
"D-O-N-N-Y... GO DONNY!"
"UP! UP! UP!"
"Cedrick Lee, from San Beda University!" said the announcer. After that, his supporters and schoolmates also cheered for him.
"Woooh!"
"Galingan mo, Papa Lee!"
"Kaya mo yan Lee!"
Sa tingin ko ay si Donny at Cedrick ang pinaka-mahigpit na kalaban ni Trevor dahil madami silang fans. Kahit sa unang tingin masasabi kong mukha nga silang magaling.
"And of course, the last but not the least... we have Genesis Trevor Ivanzo, from the St. Mary's University!"
I didn't expect the voice of the crowd to be louder. I could see a lot of girls from other schools who also support Trevor.
Siya yata ang may pinaka-madaming fans dito!
"Trevor galingan mo!"
"Ahcccck! Trevoor baby ko yan!" muntik pa akong mabingi sa mga katabi ko dahil sa sobrang lakas ng sigaw nila.
