Sydney's POV
Hindi ko alam kung ilang minuto na ang nakalipas pagkatapo naming magyakapan ni Bright.
"You just have to get better and do the surgery soon...and I know that you will be able to recover—"
Natigil ako sa pagsasakita ng may biglang pumasok dito.
"Oh no!" rinig kong may matinis na boses ang sumigaw.
A gorgeous lady is already in front of me. Who is she?
Maybe Bright's wife?
Ang ganda niya naman. Halatang model na model lalo na ang height nito. Her body is gorgeous, maganda ang hubog ng katawan and her hair is curly.
She looks perfect.
She's wearing a very short shorts right now and a fancy top.
I smiled bitterly, if I was her, I wouldn't be able to wear something like this because Bright used to be so possessive of me.
"Bright!" agad naman itong lumapit kay Bright upang yakapin ito. "B-babe. Tito told me everything. It's okay, Babe. I know you will be fine soon. It's okay." at humagulhol na ito.
So she's really the wife of Bright, huh.
This is the first time I've met her. Kaya siguro madali lang akong napalitan ni Bright kasi ang ganda ni Eunice.
Si Bright naman ay nakatungo lang. "B-babe please, talk to me." at umupo ito sa higaan ni Bright at hinaplos haplos ang mga mukha nito ngayon.
Ako ay nanatili lang na nakatayo sa tabi nila.
"How can we be so sure of that, Babe?" Bright asked.
He calls her 'Babe' and I am not fine right now because of that.
Everything hurts now.
"We have to trust the operation, Babe." and Eunice comfort him.
"Damn it, B-babe! I'm b-blind now. I don't k-know what to do a-anymore."
"I'm here, Babe. You'll be fine."
"B-babe, are you going to leave me now?" biglang sabi ni Bright at kumuom ang mga kamay nito.
What is he talking about?
Napatayo naman si Eunice. "What?! No way! I won't! Ano ba 'yang pinagsasabi mo?! I love you, Bright. At hindi kita iiwan. Maghihintay tayo kung kailan kana pwedeng maooperahan, okay?" at niyakap nito ulit si Bright.
She must love him. "I'm so sorry, B-babe. I love you too." at niyakap din ito ni Bright.
"I love you more, Babe."
It hurts.
Gustong-gusto na naman ng mga luha kong bumuhos. But...I can't cry in front of them.
My man is already happy with someone else right now. And here I am still stuck in the past.
Ano pa nga ba ang ginagawa ko dito?
I don't have any role here anymore.
I should really move on, it's been two years na, pero eto pa rin ako, minamahal ko pa 'yong taong may mahal ng iba.
Natuon naman ang pansin sa akin ni Eunice. "Oh, sorry. May nurse pala dito." so she didn't notice me here?
Bright cleared his throat. "So, she's still here?"
"You can leave now, Nurse. I can take care of my husband now."
Husband. Yeah, her husband. "Uh, but Tito Green and Tita Beatrice asked me to look after Bright." sagot ko dito at pilit na ngumiti.
She was confused with what I said. She looked at me from head to toe. "Why? Who are you?" she asked me.
"M-me?"
Bright chuckled. "She's just nobody, Babe." biglang sagot ni Bright.
Nobody?
So, I'm a nobody now? Is that it?
"Are you sure, Babe? If that's true, maybe she can leave now, right? Since I am here already." tanong nito sa asawa niya at kumapit ito kay Bright.
Bright held her hand as well. "Of course." Bright looked at my side. "Will you leave us? Nandito na kasi 'yong asawa ko. I don't need you here anymore." sabi ni Bright.
I was stunned.
Parang pinipiga na naman ang puso ko ngayon, hindi ko inaasahan na may isasasakit pa pala 'to.
Sa loon ng dalawang taon siya lang 'yong nasa laman ng puso at utak ko. Pero sa loob din ng dalawang taon nakahanap na siya ng bago, ako nalang talaga siguro ang umaasa na magkakabalikan pa kami.
I loved him too much that I didn't even notice that I let myself suffered.
"Yeah, you're right, Bright. Y-you don't need me anymore." my voice broke.
Damn it, Sydney!
Pull yourself together. Don't you dare cry in front of them.
"I will l-leave now." at agad na lumabas sa kwartong 'yon.
Pagkalabas na pagkalanas ko ay biglang pumatak na ang mga luha kong kanina ko pang pinipigilan.
Napahawak nalang ako sa dibdib ko. Ang sakit lang kasi.
Mahal ko pa rin talaga siya. "It's okay, self. Hush now. It's okay." at pilit na pinapakalma ang sarili while my tears are already flowing into my cheeks.
You heard it naman Sydney diba?
He doesn't need you anymore dahil nandoon na ang asawa niya.
You're just a nobody to him now.
