Sydney's POV

Nang makarating ako sa kwarto ni Bright ay nadatnan ko itong mahimbing na natututlog. He should wake up now kasi kailangan na niyang kumain and drink his medicine.

Inilagay ko muna yung mga gamit ko sa couch.

I sighed.

Ano na kaya ang gagawin ko nito ngayon? Kasi alam kong makakasama ko si Bright ng ilang buwan and this will be hard for me. How can I move on now? If I need to take care of him everyday?

Natigil ako sa pag-iisip ng may biglang pumasok sa room ni Bright na may dalang pagkain at gamot para kay Bright.

Si Betty. "Oh, Sydney. Ano'ng ginagawa mo dito? Diba ibang pasyente ang inaalagaan mo ngayon?" tanong nito.

"Ah...e-eh, ano kasi, kinuha ako ng mga Cabral na maging personal nurse muna nitong si Bright para mas madali ang pag galing nito." I explained.

She nodded. "Ah, ganun ba? Pumayag naman ba ang department?"

"Oo eh."

"Ah, ganun."

I nodded. "Oo."

Lumapit naman siya sa akin. " Sige, iiwan ko na lang 'to sa'yo at ikaw na ang bahala dito ah." at inalapag ito sa table. "Ito yung pagkain ng pasyente. At ito ang gamot niya na kailangan niyang mainom bago siya kumain." at itinuro ang isang gamot. "At ito naman ay pagkatapos niyang kumain. Eto din nga pala, pakilagay na lang ng ointment sa mga sugat niya ha."

"I got it." at kinuha ang gamot niya. "Sige, salamat Betty. Ako na ang bahala sa kanya. At gigisingin ko na lang si Bright."

"Sige, ikaw na rin ang bahala mag check sa kanya ha? Babalikan na lang kita dito mamaya."

"Oo naman. Ako na ang bahala."

"Oh sige, alis na ako ha."at umalis na ito.

I nodded, "Thank you."

Damn.

This is gonna be hard for me.

Huminga muna ako ng malalim bago lumapit kay Bright.

Paano ko 'to ngayon gigisingin.

Wala na naman ba ang asawa nito dito. Dapat obligasyon nitong alagaan ang asawa niya. Lalo na sa panahon ngayon na mas kailangan siya ni Bright.

While looking at Bright's face ay bigla na namang kumabog yung puso ko.

He's handsome.

Damn.

What I am thinking. I need to wake him up.

Kaya mo 'to Sydney! "B-bright." at ginising na ito.

"B-bright, gising na." at niyugyug ko siya.

"Bright."

He groaned. "Hmmm."

"Gising na, you need to eat." At dahan dahang niya namang minulat ang kanyang mga mata, his eyes are red.

"Umupo kana Bright, para makakain kana."

"What are you doing here." at tumingin ito sa banda ko.

I cleared my throat. "I'm your personal nurse, remember?"

"You shouldn't have come," he said.

"I don't have a choice, Bright." maikling paliwanag ko.

He clenched his fist. "You have." matiim na sagot nito. "You have so many choices, Sydney! You always have! Kaya nga choice mo rin na niloko mo ako noon diba?" sarkastikong saad nito sa akin.

So, he's bringing up this topic ha.

"Bright, stop it." because I've never cheated on you. You're the only one who didn't believe me and it's your fault, for not trusting me.

"Stopping me now? Why? Masakit bang marinig na manloloko ka?"

I just need to calm down and contain my emotions because I am here as his nurse now not his ex-girlfriend. "No, Bright because I'm not a cheater and I've never cheated on you!"

He laughed sarcastically. "Oh, c'mon Sydney."

"Everything's in the past now, right? Let's just forget it since the past is past. You even have a wife now. Let's just be civil with each other and be mature enough to handle this situation we're in, can we?" I also want to help him genuinely. I want him to recover.

A trace of bitterness crept into his face. "Matured enough, Sydney? Isn't it you who's bugging my life right now?"

No one could express my agony right now, all of the words he's saying are like bullets straight into my chest. "Why me?"

He gritted his teeth. "Hindi ba't ikaw ang pumasok ulit sa buhay ko? If you have refused her in the first place this won't happen."

"You were also there, Bright. I tried...but they were persistent." and I calmed down for a minute. "And why are so agitated? Don't tell me that you still haven't moved on from me?" that question just suddenly popped and I didn't even mean it.

I shrudded, damn it! What a stupid question!

Bigla naman itong natigilan sa sinabi ko at bigla itong umupo sa higaan niya

That was a stupid question pero bakit umaasa ako na kahit papano ay sasagutin niya 'yon?

He took a deep breath before he answered me, "You're wrong, I don't love you anymore. In fact, I was somehow waiting for this moment, to tell you that I am done loving you. I cannot wait to get my surgery done so you can leave me the hell out of me alone." and he suddenly jeered.

"Do y-you hate me that m-much?" I asked and my voice cracked.

"Do you want to hear the truth?" he asked coldly.

"Of course." I want to hear it.

His gaze went to me and said, "Yes, Sydney. I hate you that much."

Damn.

Dark clouds seemed to constantly loom over my head after that.

Everything is clear to me now. And everything has changed.

I will just do my part at kapag gumaling na ito ay babalik na kaagad ako sa dating buhay ko at kakalimutan ko na rin siya.
