Iman's POV

I walked outside, completely forgetting my phone, my purse, and everything else I'd usually leave the house with. My heart was racing, and the butterflies appeared inside my stomach. It was an unexplainable feeling. I was excited, nervous, and didn't know what was going on. But, one thing was for sure and that was how I wasn't able to stop grinning so much.

Before me, stood a car as he said, and it was a white urus that had a chauffeur opening the door for me.

"Thank you," I said as I went into the back seat.

He nodded before closing the door and I looked around and explored the interior of the car. As I was doing so, I noticed another letter that lay just on the seat beside me.

Don't question anything. Once you get to the location, follow the petals.

What was this man up to? I wanted to know. As we got closer, my curiosity kept growing and I didn't know whether I was able to contain the excitement that also grew inside me.

Eventually, the car came to a stop and the door was opened shortly, afterward, by the chauffeur.

I stepped out slowly, trying not to ruin the dress or even trip on it, and as I did, the man said, "Mr. Zane awaits you in that building."

"Thank you." I smiled before walked up the front stairs and realized that this was the grand hotel that we first met at.

For some reason, it looked beautiful in the dark. The cream-like marble filled the entire area and as soon as I walked through the doors, there were white rose petals on the floor that left a trail, leading to the large round stairs.

I walked beside the petals as I didn't want to step on them. Every step I took, I grew more impatient and slowly increased my walking pace. Once I finished walking up all the steps of the stairs, the petals led me to a path down the left hallway. This place only grew familiar to me. This was where we had walked when Zane asked to speak somewhere where there wasn't music playing.

Then, the rose petals slowly started to fade, and I looked up to see the balcony. It was a large balcony and it was also where his figure stood, with his back facing me as he looked into the distance.

"Zane?" I said with such glee in my tone.

After a few seconds, he turned around and smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back at him and see how handsome he looked with his newly faded haircut, his perfectly lined beard, those hazel orbs, and as well as the suit that outlined his muscular figure.

"Did you get some time to rest?" He calmly spoke in a content tone and it filled my heart with ease.

I nodded and I felt my cheeks start to burn up. By now, they had probably turned the crimson color of red and I couldn't help but look down from embarrassment.

"You know, I did some thinking," he walked closer leaving just inches apart between us, "And I realized, how much I can't picture life without you. The days you spent in the hospital, the days you weren't by my side, I longed for you more than ever."

My eyes began tearing up already, but I continued to listen to him as he picked both my hands and held them softly.

"You're wonderful, beautiful, caring, and irreplaceable. You've done things no other woman, not even my siblings, would've done for me. I'm forever going to carry a part of you," he slowly let go of my hands and knelt on one knee, I gasped from shock as he pulled out a velvet box and opened it revealing a diamond ring and asked, "Are you willing to be a part of me?"

I let the tears stream down and I gleefully said, "Yes! Yes! A thousand times, Yes!"

I wrapped my arms tightly around him and embraced him the tightest I had ever done so. I heard him chuckle and felt him nuzzle his face into the crook of my neck. I did the same and placed a kiss on his neck.
