you could water 'em like the prettiest flower, and they still ain't gonna grow on you.
Treat 'em like the brightest star but who says they gon' glow on you?
So easy to do too much for the one you love, but it's so hard when you pray for the same in return, looking up above.
Even the smallest things feel like some sorta knife in my back, perfidious,
Excuses after excuses, the cuts sting since that shit is continuous.
We in a cyclical cycle, oh that's counterintuitive huh?
My bad let me be more mindful;
We're in a rotation of causation, our affection and temptations, absorption and addiction to each other become intertwined just like our fingers do because even when we're mad we can't seem to keep our hands off of each other.
It's just so weird how you are my prettiest flower but the root to all my problems.
