we were like time, chasing each other around in circles , yet the whole time we had each other's hands held tightly in the midst of it all, intertwined hands on the clock,
We were the definition of apprehension, wanting to feel love so badly but not wanting to be hurt, like love wanting to knock,

imagine the feeling of loss pick at your skin,
gnawing at your flesh like it's the life it once had, until you're paper thin,

I feel out of pocket sharing my words with you.
an attempt to show off my words flowing so perfect in my mouth get thrown jumbled out of my back pocket but your kind jeans (genes) bounce back with an "I like it"
I hate being competitive. And envious.
It's like being a dying rose with the attitude of a sunflower in the summer time, next to a blooming garden in the spring. all I can do is hope for what I cannot achieve.
