Creek or Creep? (chapter 18)

Bridget sighed as she threw herself on her bed.

" I think the king really likes us!!"
 Cooper exclaimed

" I know right?"
Biggie said.

" This is the greatest day of my life!!!"

Bridget sat up on the bed.

" Thanks, Poppy. Thanks to all of you!"

In a long time, I haven't felt like this before. was it happiness? was it there to stay or was it just temporary?

Bridget looked at me
" Even you, I guess"

My smile quickly turned into an annoyed frown.

Wasn't I the one who helped you compliment him? Or did you just forget about that part?

" I never thought something like this could happen to me! And it just did!"
The overjoyed bergen exclaimed.

" I'm so excited I could just scream!!"

Bridget let out a low pitched scream.

" I could scream too!"
Poppy exclaimed.

" Creek is alive!"

oh, I forgot about that part, but whatever makes Poppy happy guess..

They all began screaming happily and I kinda decided to tag along.. But they all turned to me with worried expressions on their faces

" Branch, what's wrong?"
Poppy asked me.

" Nothing. I thought we were celebrating"

" That's  your happy shout?"
Cooper looked weirdly at me

" It's been a while.."
I frowned again.

" Well, you're gonna have plenty of practice, cause we're gonna save Creek and the life will be all cupcakes and rainbows again!"
Poppy told me.

I smiled and put my hand up in the air

" Up top!"

But as Poppy went for high five I removed my hand.

" Too slow" 

Poppy looked at me with a surprised smiled on her face.

" Ok, everybody let's go save Creek."
Poppy said determinedly. 

But as we headed towards the door Bridget blocked the way.

" No, you can't leave!"
Bridget exclaimed.

" Lady glitter sparkles is gonna be the king's plus one at dinner!"

I looked at her.
" The dinner where they're serving troll? Yeah, I think we have to skip that one..."

" No, no, you have to help me be Lady Glitter Sparkles! I need you."

" You don't wanna pretend to be someone you're not forever."
Poppy told her.

" Then how about just for tomorrow?"
Bridget pleaded.

" Bridget, you don't need us anymore. you and the king can make each other happy."

Bridget stood up.
" That's impossible! only eating a troll can make you feel happy! everyone knows that!"

Oh, no, we're not going there again. I thought she was on our side.

" I wish I never went on this stupid date!"

Bridget ran to the frame she had made with all the pictures of the two and ripped some of it off. she then sat down and cried.
