there really wasn't a right way to handle the situation.

you had already lied to him.

what really had you anxious was the power you sensed from him.

it was nothing you had felt before.

it felt almost... dark.

no part of you was willing to meet up with the boy again. he had already scared you plenty.

though, you knew he wouldn't stop searching until he found you.

and that is what eventually made your decision.

you needed to leave.

and you needed to leave now.

the entire situation made your head spin.

you had been hiding from any other powerful being for years. you didn't want any destruction. you just wanted to live a peaceful life.

though, fate works in funny ways.

saying farewell to the townsfolk would be difficult - it'd be easier if you didn't.

maybe one day you'd return? maybe the boy would leave?

you shook your head, continuing to grab everything valuable to you and place it in a satchel.

it was foolish of you to think that.

you closed the satchel, staring at it for a few seconds.

you couldn't help but chuckle.

after all your years in the human world, you managed to fit all your belongings into one bag.

you placed it over your back, wincing a bit.

it was quite heavy for such a small bag.

hesitantly, you moved to the exit of the bakery.

though, before completely walking out, you turned your head to the right.

a cork board was on the wall, seven posters nearly pinned on it.

your eyes glanced around the board.

wanted signs.

escanor,

diane,

gowther,

merlin,

ban,

meliodas,

and king.

harlequin.

you sadly smiled at the picture, tilting your head.

"hope you're doing well, old friend."

you shook your head and sighed, opening the door and rushing out.

thankfully, everyone in the village seemed to be inside their homes.

you sadly turned the sign on the front door of the bakery to, "lunchtime! i'll be back in half an hour!"

though, you knew it'd be much longer than that.

you swiftly ran across the village, not stopping for one second.

you didn't know where you were going.

but you needed to get away from the northern tavern as quickly as possible.

the more you ran, the more you enjoyed the wind gusting upon your cheeks.

you missed the feeling of adrenaline.
