A jarring situation

The light at the end of the tunnel

Your eyes slowly open, the warm light of the sun gently piercing through the curtains and onto your face, you then notice your flipped on your stomach currently still in between Altea's chest, You seemed to uave snuggled into her while you slept. I mean you couldn't deny it was super comfy like a fresh bed that had been kept just to your liking.You did somewhat of a push up to get up onto your knees, As you did this a little metallic rattle was heard, you looked down

"Oh....Right.."
You said rather annoyed remembering the small collar around your neck

You ignore it fir now as you look up, Altea despite being a dragon thing? She was very beautiful. In a way the scales almost helped her face. You tilt your head when suddenly her eyes jolt open

"Boo!"
She says

"Aaah"
You say jumping backwards and tumbling down onto her stomach

"Hehehe"
She snickers trying to keep quiet

"Did I give the little gaffer a spook?~"
She says teasing

You fare gies red as you cross your arms and look the other direction with an annoyed face.

"Oh my god, you are sooo precious"
She says picking you up.

"I really need one of you humans, you guys are so much fun"
She admires you by picking you up and slowly spinning you around.

"And Cute as well"
She says her cheeks lighting up a soft red colour.

You look at her in the eyes, You think how nicely Altea has treated you, I mean sure that whole mouse thing was a little scary but she wasn't mean.

"Gaffer, you ok buddy?"
She asks

You snap out of you trance, and nod.

"Still not much of a talker are you?"
She says

"W-well its just scary.."
You reply

"Being small?"
She replies

"Y-yes"
You respond looking down

"I-it feels like everything I knew has been flipped on its head, I-I never know whats real anymore, And if I'm honest every moment I may not show it or think it but I'm utterly terrified of my current situation,
It feels like I could be killed or hurt by anything I see......but worst of all I feel alone....and helpless"
You explain

Altea's face turns sad, she takes her finger and starts to rub your back.
She carries you to her cheek and nuzzles into you. This makes you smile a sense of comfort is found again. You smile and nuzzle back into her. Something unexpected happens, you hear a soft cat like purring sound. You look at Altea confused.

"Uuhh?!...T-that was nothing!!"
She panics

"Y-you purr?"
You ask

"N-no......ok maybe......Well......Damnit,y-yes"
She says defeated

"Its nice"
You say

"Very comforting"
You continue

She smiles warmly, She goes back to nuzzling you with that sweet sweet purr of hers.

"Ok little gaffer, lets get ready for the day we gotta get you looking nice for Robin"

The morning goes by rather quickly along with the afternoon. You thought maybe Somehow Altea makes everything seem a little better. A little light at the end of your tunnel.

Its currently five fifty eight, and both you and Altea are waiting for the key sound at the door.

"A-Altea.."

"Yes cutie"
She replies

"C-could you..."
You say looking up at her with a sad face.

"What whats the matter"
She says

"Can you let me go"
You ask

"Y-y/n I-I can-"
She is cut of by that click of the door.

"Hi hi~"
Robin coo's

"Hi Robin, how are ya?"
Altea says

"I have some great news for Y/N"
She says.

Robin skips towards you.
Altea smiles and hands you over to Robin.

"Ok well I gotta scoot, got a date with, this elf dude. Seems pretty full of himself"
Altea says

"Ok wanna meet for lunch this week?"
Robin asks

"Sounds good, Ill see you then, Bye Y/N"
Altea leaves. This had an unexpected affect on you, like the light at the end of that tunnel has vanished, and the darkness has enveloped your life once again.

"So how are we today?" Robin ask's.

Authors note:Sorry again for the late update Online classes suck, anyway Im planning to have chapters come out for the next few days to make up for the long wait time U all had. Once again I appreciate the patience. Also as a little treat since my birthday on the 29th Im going to do some art or Robin and maybe make a proper cover for the story,
