Forever and ever, eternity laughs
Fighting time enduring every slash
The sword of time never dulls it's edge
Never knowing which bets I should hedge

Gasp out, then in a deep breath
Tears flow at birth and also at death
So beats this drum inside my chest
I can stop it all but the heart never rests

To whom do I owe the joy of existence
Do these scars show my persistence
Should we try to realize our debt
That our past determines the future of our set

Would joy suffer if it burned
Would despair exist if not spurned
The light exists at the edge of the tunnel
We pour through time in an unending funnel
