"Oh Jung Ho!" Nam Soon called out, banging on the metal gate. "Jung Ho!"
"I don't think he's home, Nam Soon." Byeol suggested as she looked up at the house. Then, she was snapped out of it when Nam Soon kicked at the door. "Hey, Oh Jung Ho!"
"Nam Soon!"
"Oh Jung Ho! Come out, you bastard!" Nam Soon continued to shouts.
"Nam Soon, don't do that." Byeol frowned worriedly as she watched the boy took a couple steps back before taking a start and raised his leg to kick it when the door swung opened, revealing the boy that they needed as Nam Soon stumbled forward. Catching himself by holding on the side.
Jung Ho stared at the pair with an annoyed face. "What are you two doing?"
Byeol covered her friend's mouth before words can be said as she gave Jung Ho, a sheepish smile. "Let's go to school. Together."
"Why? Did they want you two to catch the culprit?" Jung Ho asked before turning to Nam Soon. "Did you tell on me?"
Nam Soon gently pulled Byeol's hand away from his mouth as he send Jung Ho, a smirk. "No, it's not like that. We just confessed. I heard you ran off in front of Teacher Kang."
Jung Ho clicked his tongue, looking away. "Anyway, I'm not going. Why should I bother? I'm going to be expelled anyway."
Byeol smiled as she looked up and down at him. "Then why are you wearing your school uniform, if you're not going?" She asked cheekily.
Jung Ho scowled. "I'm going to pretend to go to school. So what?" With that, he walked past the pair.
But Nam Soon grabbed his bag, pulling him back. "Why did you come back yesterday?" He asked. "If you broke into the cabinet and lifted all those cellphones, you should've run. You got into trouble knowing you could be expelled. So why did you come back?"
Jung Ho stared at Nam Soon wordlessly as the latter grinned before patting him on the shoulder. "Come on." He said before jogging forward, leaving Byeol and Jung Ho behind.
Byeol sighed, smiling as she shook her head at Nam Soon's antics and was about to follow him when a hand grabbed hers'. Curious, she looked back at Jung Ho, who were looking at the ground. "Hm? What's the matter?" She asked.
Jung Ho bit his lip, hesitant to say what's on his mind, but he managed through as he looked up. "You know...I don't know why but at that time when I was about to steal the phones, your face popped in my head."
Byeol's eyes widened in surprise.
"I imagine your disappointed and sad face if you heard what I have done and because of that...I didn't do it. I-I just...couldn't bare to see your tears again." Jung Ho finished with his cheeks reddened as he turned his gaze away from the ground and onto the stunned whitette.
