Chapter 12

POV JACE:

- Go tell me the truth, do you like Simon? Yes or no?

That said, he left my room leaving me to think about that question. Am I really falling in love with the daylighter? It must be nothing, I must be crazy. I just finished packing and headed for my new home. I unpacked my things in my new room and then went to the living room, where I sat next to Simon.

A week later....

A week has passed since I officially moved into his house and things were going very well. Simon had returned to the missions and things between him and Clary are returning to normal, that is, what was normal before they took over the relationship and that was very good.

The crazy Heidi had shown no signs of existence, maybe she had forgotten what she had asked Simon to do, but something inside me says that is not true.

We just woke up and was going to make breakfast when I noticed that our entrance door was kind of open. I didn't know what had happened but I'm pretty sure that when I got home yesterday morning, after a mission, I had locked it up.

- So we have breakfast for today? Heidi? What are you doing here? "Asked Simon, when he saw her on the kitchen counter.

- This crazy again? Listen, don't you have anything else to do but torment people in the morning?

- Simon, my angel, I don't know if you remember, but today the deadline I gave you to think about my proposal is over. What you say? Shall we both go?

- Heidi I am not leaving Brooklyn, my whole life is here and my friends too. I can't leave this city...

I know I'm a brilliant shadowhunter, but this girl, besides being completely crazy, has brutal strength. As much as I kicked, I couldn't get out of where I was.

"Heidi leave him," demanded Simon and he looked unnerved.

- I understand what is happening ...- she said, leaving me and approaching him.- You like the blondie! So you don't want to leave with me!

- Well the girl is really crazy.

- Do not tell me anything, but you know that now you have to walk very carefully, if I know her well she will try something against you.

- Let her come and see what Jace Wayland is capable of!

SIMON POV:

Heidi was really blinded by love for me, despite not understanding why. Even though I am not sure that I am her sier, I want to help her better understand her new life and its consequences, but she does not seem to want it.

Never in my life would I run away with her, I would not leave my life, my family and my friends behind to go anywhere with a crazy person. After our little conversation with her, we called Luke to explain the situation and he was going to let us know as soon as he got something to stop her.

Jace did not look scared but I have never seen anyone so determined in one thing, or a person like Heidi was to escape this city with me and I am afraid of what she might do with Jace to achieve it.

The truth is that she has some reason for what she said. The biggest reason I didn't go with her is because of Jace. We can say that I got used to his presence and at this moment live without him ... I just can't imagine my life without him. He helped me when I needed it most and even today he wants to protect me from the evils of this world, which is not possible. But it's sweet!
