ALEC POV:

I was so happy for my brother, he was finally happy with the person he loves by his side. I haven't told anyone yet, but I've been planning to propose to Magnus for almost two months and it won't be until today.

From an early age I knew that I was not like the other boys with whom I lived here at the institute, because I was not attracted to girls. I thought they were pretty, of course, but I was always more curious about boys, although I always tried to hide that side of me.

But then Magnus appeared in my life and now it all makes sense. I may still have many uncertainties in my life, but I have two certainties. One is that I love Magnus and the second is that I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

- Izzy, I need your help. So this is it, I'm planning on asking Magnus to marry me and I need your help to get him out of his apartment for a few hours so I can set things up.

- Of course I help you big brother.

- Thank you, little sister, seriously.

That same afternoon, we had an alarm that meant a new mission and it was Clary, Jace and Magnus. I had at least two hours to be able to prepare everything for my big order. The truth is that there was not much decoration that I wanted to use, but I had to prepare our romantic dinner.

I made a roasted loin with roasted potatoes, rice and a salad and for dessert I prepared a chocolate mousse with strawberries on top, which my mother taught me to make and lasts for half an hour after I arrived at his apartment, Izzy sends a message saying that they had already arrived from the mission and in the meantime Magnus would come through that door.

I was just setting the table when the entrance door opened and Magnus smiled when he saw me here.

"You could have told me you were here, I thought you went on a mission," said Magnus, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

- We can say I came, but that will be explained better after the dinner I prepared for you.

We sat down at the table and started eating what I had prepared for us. I have to say that despite not having much use in the kitchen, this food was simply delicious and Magnus agreed.

- Everything was delicious, but will you tell me the real reason for this dinner?

- I was trying to save the surprise for after dinner but here goes. You know that since I met you, you turned my life inside out, right? It used to be a shadowhunter who got engaged to a woman just to see happy parents and now I'm here, at my boyfriend's who happens to be Brooklyn's most powerful warlock.

I got out of my chair and knelt beside him, taking out the box I had in my coat pocket.

- Magnus Bane, do you want to marry me?

- Of course I accept!

I put the silver ring I bought on his finger and kissed it with all my strength. I wanted that through this kiss, he would know how happy I am right now. After the wedding proposal, we ate the chocolate mousse with strawberries and went to his room.

IZZY POV:

I was very happy for my two brothers. Both were happy and couldn't have chosen better people to be my brothers-in-law. When Alec told me he was going to propose to Magnus, I was extra happy and even more so to learn that I am the only person who knows what he plans to do.

As promised, after there was an alarm for a new mission, I sent Magnus along with Clary and Jace and knew that my brother had about two hours to prepare what he had in mind. As soon as the mission was over and they returned, I sent a message to warn them and now just hope that things go well.

I know they're going to run, because those two are crazy about each other. I've been thinking for a while and I think I'm going to ask Clary to be my parabatai. There is no one else in this world, except my brothers, whom I adore to the point of being my parabatai.

Shadowhunters can only choose their parabatai until they are eighteen and must be the same for life. That is why the parabatai ceremony is the most important event in an institute.

Since Alec and Jace became parabatai, I was always a little jealous in their relationship. I always wanted to have a person like that and since Clary entered our lives, I knew that she would be my perfect parabatai.

- Clary think we can talk a little alone?

We went to my room. This was the event of a lifetime so I was expecting you to be nervous. What if she doesn't want to be my parabatai? If you don't want to be connected to me forever?

- I was thinking ... I wanted to ask you something so here it goes. Clary Fairchild, would you do me the honor of being my parabatai?

- Do you want me to be your parabatai?

- Yes! What you say? Do you accept?

- Of course, nothing would give me more honor than to be your parabatai.

As soon as she said that to me, I hugged her, leaving her almost breathless and when I let her go I went towards the corridor leaving her alone to look at me.

- Wait, where are you going?

- Notify the council that we have to hold a ceremony. I don't want to waste any more time.
