My Double Life

Chapter 6

Skylar's POV

"Hey Sky." Gabby asks as I change my books at my locker

"Wassup homie." I playfully punch her arm

She laughs, "You are the weirdest person ever." She tells me

I roll my eyes and we walk to her locker

"Isn't Karen here yet?" I ask

"No, she'll probably be here soon though." She answers

As she is changing her books, my eyes wonder around the hallway noticing different people with different characteristics and looks for the first time.

"I never noticed how different everyone is." I mumble to myself

I was taken out of my trance when a hand is roughly placed on my shoulder and out of instinct, I slam the person against the lockers, twisting his arm and pinning him there.

"Damn Seth, I told you never to sneak up on me like that." I let go of him

"Sorry, I've been calling your name for the past seconds but you were lost in thought." He explains himself

Randy always told me to watch my back at all times, that's why I don't handle people sneaking up on me lightly. He says that if people find out my identity one day, I should be ready so since then I've always been on high alert

"I'm sorry, I was just thinking about stuff." I sigh

I look around and everyone is looking my direction, including Gabby, Ray, Kendrick and a Karen who looks like she just got here when that happened

"Where did you learn that?" Ray questions referring to the way I just easily pinned Seth

"Oh, my dad taught me self defence and I used to attend karate classes." I explain

"You got a really good grip." Seth compliments and I send him a smile

"My dad would be proud then." I say and we laugh

The bell rings and we head to our first class. Ray forced Kendrick to walk with us since the three of us have class together the first period

And that ladies and gentlemen is how the bad boys of the school, ended up being early to class for the first time in their lives and I'm glad to be the influence. *bows slightly*

We enter the classroom and take our usual seats. Me in the middle of the class, Ray and Kendrick at the back of the class. Not long after the teacher walks in

"Good morning, I expect you all to hand in your assignments at the end of the lesson." He says raising his head up to scan the classroom. His eyes land on something and pure shock is played on his face

"Mr Evans, Mr Gabriel, you are surprisingly already in class. Huh, it must be a good day." He smiles causing most of the class to turn their heads to Ray and Kendrick

Kendrick rolls his eyes, "We can leave and come back later if you like?" Kendrick suggests

"No, that won't be necessary." Mr Anderson says

The lesson starts and just as quick as it started, it also quickly comes to an end

"You know, you won't die or lose a limb if you guys just start coming to class early everyday." I say to them as we exit the classroom

"We'll think about it." Ray answers and I shake my head

It's the end of the school day and as soon as the bell rang, the halls were empty with everyone gone. They are probably going to prepare for the party tonight
