Will you be my husband again?

Zach's POV

Ellie left rushing to her business and I totally forgot returning the marriage certificate to her but I also doubt if she'll accept it since she's eager for annulment.
The misinterpreted scandal was all over the news and obviously, Raymond is the mastermind of it and I finally understand why Ellie brought this certificate over their dinner. I should've killed him last night.

"Sir aren't you gonna help?" Tanong ni Amber while I am watching the news in my office. I actually wanted too but...

"Mukhang hindi nya naman kailangan... and If she did, she'll call me." Dagdag ko naman.

"Dumating na pala yung drug test na nirequest mo, the result is positive" she said at binigay sakin yung envelope na naglalaman ng laboratory result and I also notice that its almost time for our meeting.

"Call all the department heads and tell them that we need to discuss a some changes" I said at tinago na sa drawer ko ang envelope.

I participated in the meeting but my mind was out of nowhere. Each department heads started to report their status and plan pero wala talaga akong maintindihan because my mind is thinking about something else.

Agad kong dinismiss ang meeting at bumalik sa office ko like an idiot waiting for someone to call.

Ilang sandali Amber suddenly came in.

"Sir? Nandito ka pa pala, I thought you already left" she said ng makita ako sa office then chineck ko yung oras ko it's almost 11 in the evening na pala.

"Aalis din ako, how about you? why are you still here?" pagbaling ko ng tanong sakanya.

"Tumawag kasi yung branch natin sa New Jersey at Japan, they needed some documents for reference lang ng kanilang strategic team kaya inayos ko na kaagad mukhang urgent eh" paliwanag nya.

"Ok thank you, umuwi ka na, update me nalang for more details later" sagot ko at pinauwi na sya.

Di nagtagal I decided na umuwi narin. inayos ko na yung table ko at agad umalis.

Habang nagmamaneho pauwi, an unknown number suddenly called me kaya pinark ko muna ang sasakyan sa tabi bago sinagot yung tawag.

"Hello, good evening, May I know who's calling?" tanong ko,

"Sir good evening I'm Jeni, Ms. Ellie's Secretary" pagpapakilala nya.

"Ahmm okay, so why are you calling?" tanong ko naman.

"Sir pasensya na talaga, I know it's not right na pangunahan ko yung boss ko but I know na ikaw lang makakatulong sakanya" paliwanag nya.

"Diretsohin mo na ako, what's going on?" tanong ko sakanya.

"Na-aksidente kasi si Ms. Ellie after syang harassin ni sir Raymond sa harap ng reporters kaya nandito kami sa ospital ngayon" paliwanag nya kaya hindi na ako nagdalawang isip na puntahan sya sa ospital.

Agad kong hinanap yung room nya according to the message that Jeni has sent me.

Nasa hallway palang ako, agad ko na nakita si Raymond at yung secretary ni Ellie na nagtatalo sa hallway, I think He's trying get in, but Jeni trying to stop him.

"Sir! buti naman at dumating kana" bungad ni Jeni after she saw me coming at napalingon naman si Raymond sa direksyon ko.

"Bakit sya nandito?" takang- taka nyang tanong while glaring at me.

Hindi ko na sya pinansin at papasok na sana sa loob ng room pero pinigilan nya ako.

"Sino ka ba talaga?  anong karapatan mo to meddle in our matters?" Tanong nya while glaring at me.

"Syempre mas may karapatan sya sayo, she's Ms. Ellie's husband" sagot ni Jeni sakanya na ikinagulat ko din.

Jeni looked at me and trying to convince me na sakyan ko ang pinagsasabi nya.

"Off course, and that made me her legal guardian" dagdag ko pa.

"What the fuck are you talking about? I'm his fiancé!" He said at nagpumilit pa.

"Back off! before I call the security" sagot ko naman while glaring at him. Kating-kati ako na suntukin sya pero nagpipigil lang ako dahil ayoko ng gulo.

"We're not done yet." Pababanta nya bago tuluyang umalis.

Agad na akong pumasok sa kwarto and Ellie is just sitting on her bed struggling and seems stress.

"Bat ka nandito?" tanong nya din nang makita ako.

"I heard the news kaya pumunta na ako" paliwanag ko.

"I'm sure Jeni called you" inis na inis nyang sagot.

"Why didn't you call me?" tanong ko naman sakanya at umupo sa upuan sa tabi ng higaan nya.

"Hindi ka naman kasali sa problema ko, madadamay ka lang" paliwanag nya.

"Ayaw mo ba talaga akong tulungan ka? what if I'm willing to interfere and share those problems with you? ayaw mo parin ba?" tanong ko but she suddenly looked away at biglang natahimik so I decided to give her a couple of envelopes, yung isa ay naglalaman ng laboratory result at yung isa ay annulment papers namin.

"The decision is yours" dagdag ko at tumayo na sa inuupuan ko para umalis but she suddenly hold me. I can see that she's shaking in fear and she's trying to lower her pride. Naghintay ako sa kung ano man ang sasabihin nya.

Ellie's POV

Nagising ako na nasa hospital na at may konteng galos at pasa sa katawan with a sprained leg pa. Nagising ako ng dahil sa ingay na nasa labas. Jeni is struggling na pigilan si Raymond na makapasok dito.

Dahan-dahan akong bumangon tapos bigla nalang may pumasok.

It's Zach... somehow I felt relieved nang makita siya.

"Bat ka nandito?" tanong ko.

"I heard the news kaya pumunta na ako" sagot nya.

Ang bilis naman ng balita... " I'm sure Jeni called you" sagot ko naman sakanya and maybe it's true kasi hindi nya dineny.

"Why didn't you call me?" tanong nya at umupo upuan sa tabi ng higaan ko.

" Hindi ka naman kasali sa problema ko, madadamay ka lang" paliwanag ko.

"Ayaw mo ba talaga akong tulungan ka? what if I'm willing to interfere and share those problems with you? ayaw mo parin ba?"  he asked me then it made me shut my mouth.

Matapos ang ilang sandaling katahimikan may binigay syang envelopes sakin then I had a hint na baka eto na nga yung divorce papers na pinirmahan nya.

"The decision is yours" he said at tumayo na sya as he's about to leave pero bigla ko nalang sya pinigilan.

I never knew that this marriage will be useful until today.
I know it's not right but this marriage will save me from all the despicable thing's that happened to me.

"Are.. you still.... Ahmm interested to be my husband?" Nanginginig kong tanong while trying to lower my pride.

"What? I didn't hear you, may sinasabi ka ba?" He said asking me and once again tinanong ko sya kahit sobrang hiya ko na.

"Will you still be my husband?" Tanong ko nang nakayuko na nanginginig pa. Pakiramdam ko namumula na ako ng dahil sa sobrang hiya but he didn't say anything so I decided to raise my head and he just look deep into my eyes then  he suddenly press his lips into mine at agad ko naman syang tinulak.

"What were you thinking?" Inis na inis kong tanong sakanya but he took the annulment papers at agad itong pinunit sa harap ko.

"I'll make sure that you'll never regret this decision... I will love you wholeheartedly and be a good husband"
He said while looking at me.

"Don't even think about it, this is just a deal, and I swear that I will never fall in love with you" banta ko naman sakanya.

"Let see what will happen while this marriage of convenience is ongoing" he said and stole a kiss on my cheeks again and he smirked before he left.
