By Chewie's calculations, we're so close to our destination. Maybe an hour or two away.

Commander D'Acy's confidant is located on the planet Onderon. Onderon is located in the Outer Rim, and it's a peaceful jungle planet. There, we should be under the First Order's radar.

The person we're meeting with is a human man by the name of Wedge Antilles. My mother says he and Uncle Luke were close, and that Antilles helped lead the attack on both Death Stars.

But for now, he's retired and lives peacefully.

As I'm opening cabinets on the Falcon, I hear someone walk up to me. I know who it is immediately, because their walking stick is hitting the ground as well.

"You know," My mother starts. "Poe wants to be left alone."

I let my shoulders fall and sigh sadly. I stand up and close my eyes, my hand still on the cabinet door.

"I know." I whisper, closing the cabinet door. "But I miss him." I say, sinking to the floor. I hang my head in my hands. "This is so hard without him. I never thought I'd come to depend on Dameron, but here I am."

My mother leans against the wall in front of me.

"Don't give up on him yet. He needs time. He thinks I'm disappointed in him because of the Raddus, but I'm not. I actually believe what he did to be brave. He had the right idea."

"I know, I know. But if you can't make him see that, how can I?"

The side of my mother's mouth quirks up. "Oh, I think you have it all under control."

Mom pats my shoulder and walks away, her heels clicking on the floor.

I stay sitting on the floor for a few minutes, the coldness seeping into my burning legs.

As I go to stand up, I feel a weird tug at my stomach. Like someone has a rope around it and is tightening it.

I gasp, and fumble for my blaster. Before Ben has even appeared, the safety lock is off and the gun is poised.

He materializes in front of me, and I have to physically restrain myself from shooting at him.

"Why is this happening?" Ben asks.

"I don't know. I thought I never had to do this again." I say in between my gritted teeth.

"This isn't possible. Snoke bridged our minds, he told me himself. But now he's gone. I killed him."

My mind wanders a bit, wondering who Snoke is.

Ben laughs. "He was my old master. He wanted me to kill Rey so I murdered him instead. Doesn't that make me a good person?"

"Don't pull your stupid Jedi mind tricks on me. I don't want any part of your psychotic plans."

"As I said before, I'm not doing this. Trust me, my offer for you to join me is long over. Soon, the Resistance will fall at my hands and I will reign Supreme Leader of the galaxy."

I scoff and toss my hair away from my face. "Good luck with that Ben."

Ben stiffens and opens his mouth to respond when someone yells my name. It echoes down the hallway.

I freeze in place. Poe. No, no, no. He can't see me with Ben.

"Go away!" I hiss at Ben.

My brother smirks at me. "Who is that? Your little pilot boyfriend? It's no matter. Soon, I'll destroy him and I'll make you watch. As I did before. Goodbye sister. We'll see each other soon." Ben blinks out of existence and I hastily stuff my blaster into its holster.

Someone skids around the hallway bend.

"Wren!" Poe says happily. "I've been yelling your name. Haven't you heard me?"

I shake my head innocently. "No, sorry. I've been lost in thought. Anyways, what's up?"

"I've got something to show you." Poe says. He walks forward and grabs my hand.

"Where are we going?" I ask him.

"It's a surprise." He says, dragging me after him. We race down the hallways of the Falcon, bumping into multiple people.

Nobody says anything. They all just stare at us in a knowing way. I catch fleeting glimpses of their faces as I rush past them.

"Seriously Dameron! Where are we goi-" My laughing is cut short by the sudden burst of green.

I stare out the window in front of me. The whole planet of Onderon is green. As we get closer to the surface, I begin to see lakes and old rock structures standing out against the thick jungle.

Chewie lands the Falcon on a patch of green grass. The trees in this area have been cut down and now, it's a huge spacious area.

The ramp to the Falcon lowers and everybody rushes off, grateful to have some fresh air.

I follow suit, nearly crying at the sight of the sky. Pale clouds dot the expanse of blue. It's gorgeous.

I turn and watch my mother walk off the Falcon. She glances around happily before her eyes land on a figure approaching us.

"Wedge!" D'Acy yells excitedly. The two embrace for a second before pulling away.

The man, Wedge, walks over to my mother. He shakes her hand.

"Princess, so good to see you."

"It's actually General now Wedge."

"Oh of course." Wedge says with a smile.

He glances around at the rag tag group of the Resistance.

"Is this all that's left?" He asks.

My mother nods her head. "The First Order...they're strong. We wouldn't have made it out without Luke."

"Where is Luke? I haven't heard from him since he left to train those young Jedi."

"...Luke didn't make it Wedge. I'm so sorry." My mother places her hand on Wedge's arm briefly.

"It's alright. It's what I expected." Wedge says sadly. He looks up at our group. "Alright everyone. Come with me. We'll start by giving you all some food." He says.

The Resistance members follow him as he walks off towards a wooden structure in the distance.

Someone snakes an arm around my shoulders. I look up to see Poe.

"I think I'm gonna like it here Birdy." He says.

I punch his shoulder lightly.

"Me too Dameron. Me too."
