'Here comes nothing!'

Lala entered the ballroom, it was huge and spacey. Above the room, it has a large chandelier hanging, making the room bright which can be reflected by the glossy floor. The architecture inside the room is quite glamorous. Tables and chairs were set up, silverware and napkins are neatly placed. Now what Lala was waiting for is the food! Food that are desserts: teacakes, pies, shortbreads, cakes... etc. These are all accompanied by tea, accordingly to what each prefer.

The room is filled with young ladies in her age, probably have the same goal as hers: to raise status. She went to the tables and picked a seat where there are less people

"Hello," The girl next to her spoke. "My name's Amelia Relish. Second daughter of the Marquis Relish, twin sister of the host. Nice to meet you." She slightly bowed her head as a sign of politeness.

"O-oh! I'm Lal—Lauraleigh Anderston, eldest daughter of the Duke Anderston," She hesitantly said as she cringes from her own name. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I say, what a gorgeous blue dress you have worn." Said Lady Amelia as she started a conversation. She said it sincerely as she smiled. She looked pretty nice in her simple yellow dress with floral pattern. Her brunette hair was nicely done into a bun, accompanied by a yellow clip. She really does look similar to Lady Marinette.

"You think so? I'm quite flattered..." Lala said as she got complimented. "Also, I like what your floral pattern dress."

"I appreciate that," Replied Amelia. "I am glad to have a wonderful conversation with you! How about we become friends?"

Stunned, Lala never expected this would happened so easily. "Indeed, we shall be friends." She said as she smiled happily. They continued talking to each other about their opinions and interests.

"Oh, Laurale—" Amelia called out but Lala interrupted.

"You can call me 'Lala'." She said as she drank her cup.

"W-well then, Lala. Are you engaged?" Amelia asked a peculiar question.

"Pffftt—" It made Lala unintentionally spit out her drink. "Cough, cough."

"I'm sorry if I asked a sensitive question! Are you okay?" Amelia asked, panicked.

"It's fine, forgive my manners but I was just surprised to the question." Lala stated as she wiped her mouth and stained dress.

"So you're not engaged?" Asked Amelia as she helped wiping until the stain disappeared, it was still visible if one focused to it.

"I am engaged, recently. I'm still not used to it." She explained.

"Hm... so who is he?" Amelia asked and it made Lala blush.

"U-um, he's Albert Blanc, eldest son of the Duke Blanc. He's good, he's fine..." She muttered. "How about you, Amelia?"

"Er... yes. He's name is Francis Hood. First son of the famous Earl Hood. A bit older than me," She answered while Lala grins. "As for my twin sister, she has Stephen Hulls."

"Speaking of her, where is she? I believe she told me that she'll be here," Lala questions. "Rather, why aren't you with her?"

"I was told to stay behind. It's not that I'm useless, I mean, she is the host of this Tea Party. Mine will be weeks from now on." Amelia explained.

"Oh, is that so? By the way, invite me to your tea party." Said Lala, smiling.

"Oh of course! I'll be inviting you." Amelia smiled at her too.

"My, aren't you two close even though you just met?" A soft voice interrupted them.

"Hm..?" They both said in unison. They saw a girl in a pink dress, smiling.

"Oh, sister! I'm having a fun conversation with Lala, we would love to have you join." Said Amelia while Lala nodded. "Would you like?"

"Indeed I would," Marinette joined their table and began to talk. "Hello there Lauraleigh."

"Call me 'Lala' if you would," Said Lala. "I really don't like being called like that."

"Oh, forgive me. Well then, what were you two talking about?" Asked Marinette.

"We were just talking about the event, our looks, our fiancés, and you." Amelia explained.

"Me?" Marinette asked in a stern tone.

"O-oh, we were just wondering when will you join the tea party." Lala said as Marinette relaxes. "I was wondering, how many are you siblings?"

"There are three of us. Me and Amelia are twins but I'm older." Said Marinette as she looked to her sister.

"Then there's Dylan, our younger brother. He's a year younger than us. He'll be the one to take over the Marquess position," Amelia explained. "Imagine saying: 'Sir Dylan Relish'."

'Relish, huh.. WAIT, are they related to Harmony Relish? The one who was friends with Livia/my daughter but betrayed her? Is this some sort of connection?' Lala mentally took note.

"Haha, really funny Amelia," Marinette sarcastically laughed as she stood. "I must go now. I need to converse with the others. Why not you lot do it?"

Lala looked at Amelia while she looked at her too. "Sure then, would you like to join me, Amelia?"

"Would I? Sure," They both stood up. But for Lala, she was still holding her cup and forgot about it. As she walk away a bit far from her seat, she bumped into someone and spilled her tea.

"Ahh!" The person screamed. It was a girl in her purple frilly dress but now stained. Her scream made all the guests gather their attention to them.

"Look! Lauraleigh Anderston spilled tea on the viscount Adler's daughter!" Someone assumed, she gathered more viewers.

"I-I'm so s-sorry!" She said, frantically bowing repeatedly in front of the girl. Everyone, though, didn't accept her apology. "I didn't mean t—"

"Ex-excuse me..!" Amelia interrupted. "I saw her... please let her talk and explain."

"T-thank you, Amelia. I'm sorry but I think all of you misunderstand," She stuttered then faced the girl who had stain on her frilly dress. Lala took out her handkerchief then wiped the stained part. "I deeply apologise for I had tripped on my own and accidentally bumped into you."

"Y-yes. I knew it wasn't on purpose. I happened to scream because I was surprised and the tea was hot." The girl said as she took Lala's helping hand. "My name's Racheal Adler."

"I'm Lauraleigh Anderston," She smiled at her. "Um.. would you please tell them to stop staring at us..?"

"O-oh!" Racheal finally realised. "Everyone! Please do not think badly of her. She just bumped into me. I swear!" They both bowed their heads down.

Everyone just started to believe it as they finally stopped starring and gathering.

'Phew'

"Thank you, Racheal. I really appreciate it and forgive for your dress" She smiled. "Also to you Amelia."

"It's okay!" Amelia said. "Oh Racheal, why not be friends with us?"

"Well, sure. I'd be happy to." She smiled.

To be continued...
