HINGES OF DESTINY

Eira Ysabelle's POV

I've been thinking of it since yesterday and I haven't even gotten enough sleep.

I've been sitting on the balcony of this room since 4 o'clock. A cup of coffee is placed on top of the table together with the note pad where I wrote down the clues given by Livo and all the answers I could think of. The cold breeze of the morning and the soft touch of the sun's rays is lingering on my skin. There's no such place on Earth like this. It feels so heavenly good.

I took a glance at Aedean who is sleeping peacefully on top of the bed. He's so stubborn like my guardian. The other one's annoying.

'This thing can simply define every living human being in the universe.' Is he referring to power? Abilities? But he said that our powers cannot fully define who we really are, not even our battle strategies and teamwork.

Space? Matter? Carbon Dioxide? Oxygen? Problems? What shits were you talking about, Ysa?

That's it! I need a break. I've made friends, memories, and scars. What a cruel fate...

This is the life I was destined to live in. So on the following days, I'll make more memories with them. I'll—

What the hell?

This one is really pissing me off.

"Are you insane?" What was he thinking?

I don't know what to do with him anymore. I'm gonna take a bath now. I can't stay like this for a long time.

Who on Kosmos—

My eyes widened in surprise and I froze on where I stood when I met the eyes of the man who pulled me to face him. As cliche as it seems, the moment feels like everything moves at a snail's pace. Everything around me fell silent, as I heard only the loud beating of my heart. His face is only a few inches from me, allowing me to explore the wonders only his eyes have. Like when I first met him, the two blue orbs were pulling me like two black holes that easily captivate those who look. It was like looking into Medusa's eyes, as I became a statue when I met his enchanting eyes. Damn. It was unhealthy, staring at his eyes. A few droplets of water fell from his wet hair to his well-shaped nose.

"Goodmorning, princess." His morning voice sinked deep in my ears like deep yet sexy music, complemented by the smell of mint from his cold breath. His lips were curled in a smirk, as he eyed me intently.

"G-good morning..." Remind me to punch myself later for stuttering in front of him.

Sumimangot ako nang maalala ang isang bagay. Hindi dapat ako maliligo ngayong umaga.
