The men opened fire, causing the sedan's windows to shatter upon impact. Jonathan threw himself over his father while I threw myself over dad, shielding both men from the falling glass shards. "Get the weapons!" Jonathan shouted through the gunfire. Through the half open doors I grabbed the handgun from the driver's seat while Jonathan grabbed the assault rifle from the seat behind the driver's seat. "Don't do anything stupid by raising your heads people!" he shouted at his brother and father. We returned fire, one positioning at the car boot while another one positioning at the engine cover. There are only six gunmen, pretty bad odds for the both of us as they carried SMGs, all semi automatic but I can't determine that they have extra ammo.
"They carry SMGs!" I shouted to Jonathan.
"Noted! How the hell they know where we are?" he shouted back. "We went clandestine!"
"The crows somehow know our location! We need to get ourselves to safety!" I shouted, injuring one of the men in the shoulder.
"You have the Secret Service's number or something?!" he shouted through the heavy gunfire. "We need their help to get out in one piece."
"GPS!" I shouted.
"Not enough!"
"Pin down the crows first then!" I shouted. Jonathan gunned down two enemies while I gunned down one. But a squeal of tires sounded behind us and a black SUV pulled to a halt.
"Damn! We're cornered!" Jonathan shouted. At the same time a white sedan raced at top speed, rammed into the SUV, sending it flipping in midair and landing with a large thud. Two gunshots were heard, killing the remaining two men but the one I injured in the shoulder is still bleeding but he's unable to fire his weapon. The occupant jumped out from the car before ramming the SUV while carrying a briefcase.
"Hold your fire!" I told Jonathan. The occupant is in his thirties, wearing a pilot uniform... wait a second. "Brian!" I shouted, rushing to the man's aid. Lying awkwardly on the asphalt with his pilot uniform torn during the leap Brian Park Jong Hyun looked up to check for signs of any assailant when I rushed towards him. "What are you doing here?!"
"I was sent here to protect you Isa." he explained, wiping off the blood from the abrasion on his cheek. "Where's your dad?"
"Back there. Who are they?"
"North Korean agents. They want to kill you, your father, my dad, President Kang and our uncles."
"What?" I asked. But we're not threat-free yet. The occupants of the SUV climbed out from the wrecked vehicle, prompting me to drag Brian towards Jonathan's location. Tossing Brian a new hand gun we opened fire at them, gunning down three out of the four men I suspected to be agents. SUVs again roared towards our location but this time it was different.
"Secret Service! Don't move!" an agent shouted. More agents filed out from the SUV, taking the five of us into separate SUVs, Jonathan and Robert in one and the three of us in one. Then the driver flattened the accelerator, both SUVs speeding away as rainfall soon followed. My heart is still pounding very fast as an agent quickly ran a hand over the President's body to check for injuries before turning to me. "We came as soon as we can sir."
"Where's Andrew?"
"Andrew's in trouble sir. DPRK agents ambushed Blair House, they're fending off the attackers."
"Go there." the President ordered.
"Sir, you can't-" but the President grabbed the agent's shirt.
"I don't care! Saving lives is more important!" he shouted at the agent.
Blair House
The SUVs screamed to a halt behind the vans carrying North Korean agents. Brian and I quickly got out as well as Jonathan while the sounds of gunfire are still heard. "Madam Vice President!" an agent screamed in protest. Brian unlocked the briefcase he was holding and handed me an assault rifle while obtaining his own from one of the agents in the SUV.
"Man, I do love you for giving me this Brian." I said. Dashing into the blown open door we hurried upstairs. Before we can turn into the main corridor upstairs a North Korean agent spotted us.
"She's here! Get her!" he shouted in his native tongue.
"Brian get behind me!" I screamed when the agent fired his automatic weapon. Brian ducked away in time as the first bullet hits the corner of the wall.
"We're late!" he shouted.
"Just keep fighting back!" I told him. Right at the moment I heard the faint click, the normal sound for a firearm running out of ammunition. Exchanging nods we spun out of hiding and Brian fired head first, killing the agent. "This way." I led Brian to the basement, where there is the Coffelt Memorial Room which I guess that the place would be the last resort. After all the Secret Service Uniformed Division used it as a day room. We reached the door of the room after fighting our way through the North Korean agents we encountered at the staircase but Jonathan chose to stay behind for a look out. I reached for the door but bullets came out from the door, ending up in Brian's arm and on my shoulder.
"Isa!" Brian and Jonathan screamed. The door then flew open unexpectedly after the shots were fired and Secret Service agent Andrew Barrowman stood in the doorway, his eyes frozen in shock as he held his weapon. I can imagine the word uh-oh in his head right now as he had just shot his boss' daughter and soon-to-be introduced nephew.
"What the hell ANDREW?!" Jonathan was already screaming at him while Brian kept me from falling to the ground. Managing to get a close look into the room the delegates were there, shaken but safe.
"Brian?!" I heard Uncle Park's voice.
"Shit." we cursed at the same time. Uncle Park's eyes widened when he saw his son and niece received accidental injuries because of the Secret Service agent, who are assigned to protect the delegates, had just fired at them because he mistook them as enemies. But knowing that we don't have much time and the both of us are quickly transported to George Washington University Hospital.
