"Tomorrow?"
Olzen nodded as an answer while checking the papers in front of him. I folded my legs on the sofa and pulled his large shirt to cover my thighs. Damit niya ang suot ko at malaki ito sa akin kaya hindi na ako nagsuot ng short. It can pass as a dress already.
"I need to attend the groundbreaking ceremony. Do you want to come? Maiiwan ka mag-isa rito," he glanced at me.
"Okay, sure." I smiled.
Their new condominium project will be formally launched tomorrow. For three days, we spent time together in his condo. I worried about his work but he said he can do it even when he does not personally go to the company or to the site. Kapag nagtatrabaho siya ay nanonood naman ako o kung 'di kaya'y nag-aaral magluto ng ibang putahe.
I would watch him work too when I'm bored and he'd let me. If I have questions regarding his work, he would patiently explain it to me. The past three days were satisfying.
"When was your company built?" I asked the question when I remembered it.
May nilapag siyang blueprint sa lamesa. Using his mechanical pen, he started altering some things I do not understand. Puno ng iba't ibang papeles ang glass table. I told him to work in his study room so he won't be disturb but he chose to sit beside me while I'm watching the TV.
"Lola Grace was the founder of the company. It started as a small engineering firm. The original name of the company back then was Rosales Firma de Ingeniería. Tinulungan siya ni Lolo Ben para mapanatili iyon. Dalawang beses itong nagpalit ng pangalan sa nakaraang halos tatlong dekada."
I bobbed my head, amazed at the information. Hindi ko naabutan si Lola Grace. She died even before I was born even Olzen. All I know is that she was a great engineer, dahil na rin sa mga kwento ni Lola Ethel.
"What was the second name?" I asked curiously.
Tumingin sa akin si Olzen. "Rosales Developers and Builders. Pinalitan ito nang lumago hanggang sa naging Rosales Company na ang pangalan nito. When Lola died, my father assumed the highest position. He was still young then, he was assisted by Lolo Ben. Until Kuya Tyrell was appointed as the CEO."
"How about you?"
"I'm the acting President. I might... take over my brother's position since his priorities changed now that he's married." He tilted his head.
Tumango tango ako at pinanood na lamang ang ginagawa niya. My questions can wait, his work is more important. Hinayaan ko siyang magtrabaho sa aking tabi pero hindi ko namalayan na nakatulog na pala ako. Paggising ko ay nasa malapad na kama na ako. Olzen's bed sheet is wrapped around me and he was beside me, sleeping too.
Kinabukasan ay maaga kaming nagising. He woke up first. Nakapag-luto na siya nang gisingin niya ako. I was thinking of wearing a dress but I remembered that we're going to a construction site. I tucked my black Chiffon long sleeve inside my high waist pants. Nang lumabas ako ng walk-in closet ay nadatnan ko si Olzen na may kausap sa cellphone.
When he saw me, he smiled a little. Pinasadahan niya ako ng tingin pagkatapos ay tumigil iyon sa sandals ko. He licked his lips and pursed it afterwards. He was buckling his belt with his free hand. He's wearing a dress shirt tucked in his dark pants.
"I would leave the meeting to my father. Alright... kakausapin ko na lang siya kapag nagkita kami." He said then dropped the call.
Umupo ako sa gilid ng kama habang inaayos ang laman ng hand bag ko. Sinulyapan ko siya nang tumayo siya sa aking harapan.
