chapter 13

for the rest of the ride i was mostly in my phone, i would look up once or twice to catch aiden looking at me but he would look away as soon as i caught him. aiden shy? that's a first.

we pulled up to the research center where we would be having the lecture today and everyone got up to get out of the bus, aiden moved so that i could pass him.

i got up and brushed past him but the space is anything but big and i ended up brushing against him, he held unto my waist and pulled me into him a little bit more

i would be lying if i said i didn't enjoy it but sadly it was short lived as i had to pass him fully to get out of the bus.

once i was out i waited on aiden who wasn't far behind, "how did you even get clothes this morning" i asked him and he looked at me "there's a spare bag in the living room, i'm surprised you didn't notice it" he said and i searched my memory to see where i've seen the bag before, if i had seen it before

"oh okay" i replied as we walked into the theatre, i felt aiden's hand searching for mine and i reached closer so he could take it. he smiled as soon as he felt my hand and i saw his dimples form out fully

i smiled and he looked at me "what?" he asked still looking at me, "nothing let's sit down before there aren't any seats left" i gestured towards an empty row close to the front, i walked in front of aiden and took a seat

he sat right beside me before reaching for my hand again, i allowed him to take it as i leaned over and placed my head in his shoulder.

there was a call for silence in the auditorium and soon enough the air was filled with silence, you could literally drop a pin and hear it if the room wasn't carpeted. i turned my full attention to a small lady at the podium, there was a powerpoint being projected and the little lady wasted no time in starting the presentation.

*2 hours later*
"in conclusion, the world needs more people like you to aid in the fight against animal extinction and global warming" the presentation ended and everyone began to rise from their seats to move

i got up and felt a cramp in my back "how long have i been sitting for" i groaned rubbing my back.

"about 2 hours" aiden responded to my question which was meant to be rhetorical, "my back hurts" i told him

"i can rub it for you when we get back" he didn't do his usual smirk or anything, it actually sounded like he wanted to help

"yeah sure, thank you" i smiled at him and he gestured for me to pass him, i walked in front of him and out of the auditorium with him following behind.

around the front area everyone was gathered waiting for the bus to come. i looked around and my eyes landed on ally, she was standing beside jay

i held my head down as i walked over to her, "heyyy" i pulled her into a tight hug and she hugged me back

"wassup jay" i held my hand up for a high five and he hit it, "sup jit" he said and we all laughed

aiden came over to us and hugged ally before dapping up jay "yo can i talk to you for a minute?" aiden said to jay and they both walked off.

"sooooo, you have any plans?" ally asked clapping her hands together

"plans for what?" i looked at her confused because honestly i was.

"your birthday?" she stopped clapping and threw her hands up, "ohhh" i laughed at the fact that i had actually forgotten my own birthday maybe because it wasn't a big deal to me.

"i don't know maybe we could just spend the day together if we're free" i shrugged my shoulders and ally agreed.

the bus pulled up opening it's doors allowing ally and i to climb in hand in hand.
