chapter 16

i woke up and my hair was all over the place, my eyes were still closed so i began to pat around the bed to feel if aiden was still there but i didn't feel him beside me.

i rubbed my eyes and shot up, did he leave while i was asleep? i felt a cloud of sadness hovering over me when the thought came to my head but i didn't believe he would do that

i smelt something coming from the kitchen so i left the bedroom to see who was making something

i peeped around the corner to see aiden in the kitchen making breakfast, he looked so cute dancing around. his phone was connected to a speaker and he was bumping some old school music

he turned around and noticed me, "good morning" he flashed me a smile and i walked over to where he was "i didn't know you could cook" i said and he peeped over his shoulder to look at me

"my mother teaches a culinary school, it would be a waste if i couldn't do anything in the kitchen" he said and i laughed

i took his phone up and went to the camera to look at my hair, it was really messy and i looked like a mop. i truly am not a morning person at all

aiden was still dancing and i spun around a little on the stool singing to the songs that were playing

"okay go freshen up before you eat" he turned the stove off and i pouted before leaving the kitchen to go to the bathroom "okay dad!" i shouted and i heard him laugh.

i got into the bathroom and washed my face, brushed my teeth and before i could think of anything else i fixed my hair.

i walked back out into the kitchen and aiden was fixing our plates "ally said that she's gonna come by today to pick up some stuff" he told me and i nodded as i checked my phone to see if i had any notifications

"you going to that party?" aiden asked me and i looked up from my phone, "yeah i was thinking about it plus ally had already said that we're going shopping for swimsuits tomorrow" he looked at me as if he wanted to say something but he didn't

he gave me my plate, it was well presented and i gave him a look letting him know that i was impressed and he smiled in response. the look was nothing compared to the taste!, i have had pancakes, bacon and sausages many times before but none like this

it tasted like a bite of heaven and i could tell that was looking at me when i heard him laugh "what?, it's good" i said with my mouth half closed.

"thank you but it's my mom's recipe" he said to me before he continued eating

after we had both finished eating i took my plate to the sink along with aiden's, i went to the kitchen and turned the tap on before i started to wash the dishes and pots that aiden had used

suddenly he walked over to where i was standing and placed his hand on my hips, i felt his hand slap my ass and i moved a little "that hurts you know" he laughed and did it again this time gripping it

"get used to it" he whispered in my ear before walking off. i finished up in the kitchen and went after him.

i opened the bedroom door and aiden was laid up across the bed, i closed the door behind me and climbed up on the bed where he was

he looked up at me then looked back at his phone, i was getting annoyed so i began to jump on the bed and throw pillows at him. i had to duck multiple times when he threw the pillows back but none hit me

"yo look over there" aiden said pointing to the corner of the room, "what?" i asked turning around and as i was about to face him again i was greeted by a pillow and off the bed i fell

i could hear aiden's laugh bouncing off the walls then he got up to see if i was okay. i can't believe i fell for that old trick uggghh

"you good luv?" he asked holding his hand out and i took it

"i hate you" i hit his arm as i pulled strands of hair out of my face, "c'mon you know you love and adore me" he said ruffling my hair even more

"stopppp i have to brush it again" i pouted and he told me that he would make sure to fix it for me

"i'm gonna take a shower" i said walking to the bathroom, "me too" he got up and i ran into the bathroom closing the door before he could move

"real mature lani!" i heard his voice through the door and i laughed "i know!" i shouted back then turned around to start the shower.

i got out of the bathroom to see aiden in the same spot i left him but this time there were clothes on the bed

"what're those for?" i asked him, "some of my shirts i thought would look nice on you, they're some of my jerseys and basketball shorts there too" i walked over to look at the clothes that were neatly folded on the bed

"thank you" i said to him because i really did need those, the only thing i manage to sleep in are big shirts and i was running out of them so his kind gesture is greatly appreciated

"it's no problem, you can wear one now if you want?" i agreed to his suggestion and asked him to leave so i could put it on, he didn't want to leave but he said that he would turn around and allow me to change so i didn't argue with him

once his back was turned i slipped on a pair of underwear and i chose one of his jerseys to wear, it looked really nice on me and it covered my body really well which made me love it even more

"okay you can turn around now" i told him and he turned around as soon as the words rolled off of my tongue

he stopped and looked at me for a bit, "it looks better on you" he said and i blushed a little hiding my face with my hand but he moved it and turned my face to look at him

the pace of my breathing sped up and just like last time before i could say anything i felt his lips against mine, he wrapped his hands around my face gently rubbing my cheek

the kiss was calm and i felt him pull away after awhile, "okay so now teach me how to do your hair" he said walking over to the vanity then he picked up a little hair brush that was sitting there

i walked over to where he was and i sat down in front of the mirror "it's nothing hard all you have to do is brush it up into a ponytail then wrap a scrunchie around it" i explained to him and he nodded

i sat there and watched him tug at my hair brushing it back then up again before wrapping his hand around it, i gave him the scrunchie and he was done in no time

"would you look at that, my daughter's gonna love me" he said dancing and i laughed looking at my hair in the mirror

"not bad at all" i said to him as he put the brush down and was about to head out of the room with blankets in his hand

"were you going with those?" i asked him and he stopped at the doorway

"movie night in the living room" i smiled and followed behind him closing the door.

aiden had chosen an action movie and i would react to every stupid decision the actors made "you can tell they aren't black" i said crossing my arms and aiden started laughing

"it's just a movie, come lie down" he said to me and i moved my body placing my head on his chest staying there for the remainder of the movie.
