(Y/N's POV)

I sipped on my champagne as I watched couples waltz around the ballroom.

It was the annual royal party and as always it was filled with people, noble or not.

I sighed, frowning to myself.
Setting down my champagne filled glass on a table nearby, I make my way outside to get some fresh air.

You see, parties were never my thing, but I came because...why not?

I leaned on the railings on the balcony, closing my eyes muting the music from inside.

I heard footsteps behind me, but I didn't bother turning around since I already knew who it is.

"Daniel? Funny seeing you here." I said, grinning teasingly at him.

He shrugged at me. Leaning on the railings beside me.

"You know they dragged me here." He muttered out grumpily.

While he was ranting about his hatred for parties I heard the music inside change dramatically, from a hype melody to a more relaxed tune.

"Wanna dance?" I said, cutting him off.

He was surprised, but he took my hand nonetheless.

Smiling, we both began to slow dance.

"So um nice outfit." He said, glancing down on my choice of clothing.

"Thanks." I chuckled at our awkward situation.

Daniel was just.......staring at me.

"Is there something on my face?" I said, reaching up to my face.

He slowly shook his head.

"Then what are you looking at?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at him.

He didn't answer, he just stared at me.

And out of the blue, Daniel pecked my forehead.

I stood there eyes wide looking shocked as hell.

He cackled at my reaction and held me closer to him.

He caressed the back of my head.

"Ball Parties aren't so bad when you're around."

I loved making this tbh kinda contemplated while writing this but the results turned out better then I expected!
