Chapter One

My eyes flickered opened, seeing the hospital light shining bright as ever. I shook my head and let out a yawn, only for a pain to take over.

I squinted my eyes due to the brightness of the light, my eyes slowly opened themsleves wide. I felt someone touching my hand, i turned my head to see Cara sitting there, holding my hand. "Ray!"

i brought my left arm to my head as i slowly sat myself up, i looked around to see myself hooked up to two big machines. I looked at my hands to see canculurs in my hands. I looked at Cara with a puzzled look on my face. "W-What happened?"

She let out a sigh, she stroked my right hand as she was holding it. "Rayanna, you were in a hit and run."

"W-What?"

"You were coming back from your interview, then someone ran you over with the car."Cara explained as she looked at me. "They say it might be a drunk driver. But You are lucky to be here right now."

I nodded as i slowly sunked my back into the pillow. I looked at her, my lip was quivering. "When can i go home?"

"Rayanna, you only just got here."

"B-But i want to go home."I replied as i let out a sigh. "I was going to get the keys today for my flat."

The doctor walked into the room, he stood himself by the end of my bed. He looked at me. "It's nice that you are awake."

"It isn't nice that i am in this bed."

He let out a chuckle. "You'll be in this bed for a few weeks."

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at him. "What?"

"The bones in your legs are fractured and you had internal bleeding that occured."He explained as he looked at me. "You are going to be here for a long time."

"Okay..."

"A nurse will be coming in a short while to ask a few health questions and family history."The doctor added.

"But i don't know anything about my family or where i am from."

He looked at Cara. "I'm sure your guardian here will be able to help you."

Cara nodded, then he left the room. I looked at Cara. "But you don't anything about them either."

"Raya-"

I cut her off. "I'm in hospital on the day i was supposed to get my flat and i just realised that i don't know who i am while i'm in a hospital bed."

"Rayan-"

"But it's true Cara."
