As it turned out, putting Fred under was the easy part. The hard bit was getting his fat ass out of the apartment and into the car. It took Jordan, Alastor and I all to drag him into the car.

I stared out the window as the town car took us to Alastor's house. My heart was hammering in my chest. This was it. This was the start of my revenge against the man who had tormented my family and killed me.

Getting Fred inside Alastor's southern style house with its giant wrap around porch was even more tedious than getting him to the car. Partly because instead of just one flight of stairs, we had to drag him into the house, down a long hall, and down the stairs into the cellar.

"Leave him here for now." Alastor panted, straightening his suit jacket, "He won't wake up for some time yet."

Jordan led the way back upstairs, Alastor and I following close behind. At the top of the stairs, Alastor stopped me, whispering so that only I could hear, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

I turned to look at him and nodded, "I need to do this."

Alastor's grin took on a predatory vibe, "Then I suggest you get cleaned up, my dear. We have a long road of work ahead of us."
