We all head out into the hall and down the way into the elevator. I go in last and the doors close behind us. I press the button for the first floor, and we slowly--- PAINFULLY SLOWLY--- start to go down in the lift. I slump my body against the wall, standing next to a terrified Noi.

Is he scared of me because of what happened last night?

...

Probably.

Great, now I feel bad. I guess I should make it up to him... somehow. An apology should be good enough.

"..."

How the hell do I apologize again?

...

Well, I guess not scaring him would be a good start. I nudge him with my arm, and he practically dies in wince. Man, how scary was I last night?

"Sorry..." I whisper to him.

"H-Huh?"

I cross my arms around my body and sigh. I look at him with a soft gaze and a gentle smile.

"I didn't mean to scare you so badly." I hum.

"Scared? No! N-no, I wasn't scared!" He insists.

I chuckle. Right. A man's pride will always get in the way.

"Ok. You weren't scared. But I'm sorry anyways."

"Hah. You should be sorry," Gruffs Asch.

"You're only lucky that we don't kill you." Charges Leif.

I roll my eyes.

"Do I need to knock you fellas out again?" I joke.

They each turn pale.

Ok...?

Ava laughs to herself and tells me,

"Sorry, Juli, but they don't really understand JOKES or SARCASM."

"Really?"

She nods.

How lame.

The elevator dings as we reach the first floor. I leave the elevator first and we head outside to the parking lot. Then, I pull out my RENTAL car keys and lead the group to the nice, silver, Toyota SUV that I'm renting while I'm up here.

"Alright guys, get in." I huff, walking around to the driver's seat.

Asch gasps.

"You have your own metal beast!?" He draws into shock.

"Uhh... it's called a CAR."

Ava laughs again, and adds to my statement.

"Yeah, Asch! Lots of people have cars."

"Is it going to attack us again?" Noi asks.

"Wait, again?" Ava pops.

Rhys laughs, nervously.
"Ahaha, that was a joke!"

"I thought you guys didn't understand jokes." I puff.

Something is up...

But again, I don't really care.

"Uhhh..."

My comment seems to stump the boys in their tracks.

I shrug it off.
