9 - Dalla Dalla

After a very long and stressful week, it was finally Friday and I couldn't feel more relieved. As a treat for all the staff and boys for working so hard and for finishing this week's activities without any problems, Hitman Bang decides that we should all go for some karaoke.

Everyone was really excited since we haven't had enough time to relax or to even breath. The boys were especially thrilled since they rarely get to do things like this due to their busy schedule.

Currently Jin and Jimin we're singing and "dancing" to Fancy by Twice and I would be lying if I said I wasn't cracking up watching these two make a fool of themselves.

I was sitting next to Mona and Jae, a male stylist and we were going back and forth between watching Jin and Jimin and having small conversations.

Out of nowhere Tae sits next to me.

"Allyyyy can you please be my partner for the next song? I asked Yoongi  hyung, but he doesn't want to." Tae just pouts after me, trying to convince me.

I just look at him for a while and think of a way to say no, but the more I looked at that pout of his I knew that I couldn't

"Sure, why not." I say while rolling my eyes.

"Yay!" He does a tiny clap with his hands. "Do you know how to dance to Dalla Dalla?"

My heart then almost stopped when he said 'dance.' Of course I knew the dance... I spent 3 days learning that dance until I got it right. I was really shy when it came to singing in front of others, but I was really nervous this time since I've never danced in front of anyone before...

But I had already told Tae that I would be his partner so there was no backing out now...

"Yea... just a little..." I shyly say.

With that said, Jin and Jimin finish and take a seat.

"Who's next?" Jin asks while holding up the 2 mics.

"Me and Ally!" Tae quickly gets a hold of the mics and hands me mine.

Being a little nervous I was still sitting down, but Tae was pulling me up by my arms while Mona and the others were cheering me on to stand up.

I finally stood up and while Tae was picking out the music, I looked back at Mona. I give her a nervous smile and she must have noticed because she then gave me 2 thumbs up.

The music finally started playing and I tensed up a bit. I looked over at Tae and noticed that he hadn't started dancing, meaning that he was probably waiting for the pre-chorus and chorus, but he started off singing first.

Tae:
People look at me, and they tell me
외모만 보고 내가 날라리 같대요
So what? 신경 안 써
I'm sorry, I don't care, don't care, really don't care

Once it was my turn I start singing, but of course I was a little nervous.

Ally:
Be-be-be-because
사랑 따위에 목매지 않아 (hey)

Tae seemed to notice, so he grabbed my hand and gave me a reassuring smile. That seemed to calm me down a bit and I started singing with more confidence.
He then let go of my hand and he started dancing.

세상엔 재밌는 게 더 많아 (hey)
언니들이 말해 철들려면 멀었대

Then I started dancing a bit too, but then I got into the song that I forgot about my nervousness and just went for it.

I'm sorry, sorry 철들 생각 없어요 nope!

Tae:
예쁘기만 하고 매력은 없는
애들과 난 달라 달라 달라
(Dda-dda-la-dda-la)

Ally:
네 기준에 날 맞추려 하지 마
난 지금 내가 좋아 나는 나야
(Dda-dda-la-dda-la-dda-la)

While we were dancing, I look at Tae and I could see the surprised look on his face as he couldn't believe that I was actually dancing.

Tae & Ally:
I love myself! (hey)

난 너랑 달라 달라 yeah

I could hear how everyone was cheering for us and even singing along to some parts. It was the first time that I've ever been cheered on like this and it honestly felt so good. It gave me a bit more confidence to keep going.

After the song ended, Tae turned to me and gave me a high five.

"I thought you said you only knew the dance a bit?" He says smiling at me.

"I might have lied just a bit..." I give him a shy smile.

"Ally, you killed it!" I turn to look at Jimin and as he compliments me and I could feel myself start to get warm.

"Yea! Where did you learn to dance like that?" Hoseok asks while pushing Jimin aside and I just giggle at his action.

"It was nothing really..." was all I could say before sitting down as I was slightly tired.

Mona just looks at me with a smile on her face but then turns into a smirk.

"Something tells me that you've practiced this dance before." She raises her eyebrows and crosses her arms.

"Maybe just a bit... or a lot..." I finally confess not being able to deny her.
