"Woah! This is awesome! Fulton sure knows how to throw a party, hell yeah!" Guy exclaimed loudly over the loud music as we walked into Fulton's place. It was New Years Eve. Fulton's parents had left town for the weekend, and he had decided to invite the team over for a party. But clearly it ended up being the whole school.
I was a little uncomfortable if I was being honest. I wasn't a party person at all. I never drank alcohol in my life. I never really had the chance anyways. I could tonight, but I knew Guy was going to drink and someone had to drive.
Guy dragged me through the crowded house to the kitchen where all of the drinks were. He had ahold of my hand tightly which seemed to ease my nerves.
We soon got there, seeing drinks everywhere, cans of beer, white claws, anything you could think of. I uncomfortably looked around. Guy let go of my hand and headed straight for the fridge.
I looked at him confused, leaning against the counter. Guy grabbed a water bottle and tossed it to me. I caught it with ease.
"I know you, and I know you don't like to drink, so there," he grinned at me. I smiled wide in awe. This boy was amazing.
"Thanks, Guy," I slightly laughed. He nodded his head before grabbing a can of beer from the box on the counter.
"You don't mind if I drink, do you?" He hesitated to ask me. I shook my head.
"Of course not. It's New Years, it's your life, have fun," I responded. Guy walked back over to me. He wrapped me into a small hug.
"But you're a part of my life, and I want to make sure it's okay," he said. I stared into his eyes, quickly kissing his cheek.
I couldn't have been happier.
It was around 10:30 or so. I had went to the bathroom for a quick moment, and when I had went back into the hall, Guy was missing. I figured he had run off with one of our teammates.I was sort of scared. I trusted Guy with everything in my life, and I knew he wouldn't go behind my back and do anything, but it was always something Brady and Gaven has both done, so I felt the way I did even if I trusted Guy.
He was completely wasted. Everyone here was besides me of course, and I think Fulton, but he may have been a little intoxicated himself.
I walked through the crowded rooms to find Guy. But not being able to find him anywhere caused me to panic. I stopped when I saw Julie and Scooter who both seemed to be high I assumed noticing how red their eyes were.
I began to realize I didn't know these people at all. I let out a small laugh. It wasn't a bad thing.
"Laney!" Julie happily slurred when she saw me. She walked up to me and put her arms around my neck, starting to sloppily dance to the blasting music.
"Awe, hey Jules," I said starting to get a little uncomfortable. People were crazy when they weren't in their right minds, "have you seen Guy by any chance?"
She nodded her head, "Yup, actually, he's in there somewhere," she squealed pointing to the next room over. She removed her hands from me before squeezing back over to Scooter. I didn't have the chance to say thank you.
I let out a small sigh.
I shoved my hands in the front of my jean pockets. A huff escaped my mouth and I started walking through the house again to the room Julie had pointed to.
