#8 Aftermath

OMG 380 READS! Thank you guys so much!! Ahhhh <33 With the song, I only discovered it because the artist is an actor on one of my favourite shows. I'm actually obsessed with the music video as the girl plays his main love interest in the show and as the show is PG there isn't anything remotely like this, so I like the idea of them being together. it isn't something I would usually listen to hah. Now, on a slightly less positive note, now that I've re-read the last chapter, idk how I feel about how quickly I brought it on, but nvm. Sorry for taking so long to post this! I wasn't sure how I wanted to play out the scene haha.

No POV:

JJ grabbed Kiara's hand and spun her around. She ended up with her face right next to his, much like in the movies. Being somewhat cautious with their actions, their faces edged closer and they leant into a slow and passionate kiss.

I want it that way~

They were stuck in each other's embrace for what felt like an eternity. These two people had never felt so... right, so sure about everything for the first time.

However, reality set in after a while and they pulled away. JJ and Kiara were both grinning and blushing like mad as the last few moments registered in her brain. "W-Wow..." JJ spoke first.

Kiara's POV:

Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmyfuckinggod. That really just happened.

My heart was beating so hard I could almost feel it in my throat. I smiled, and for that moment, things were good. I did not have anything on my mind other than JJ. 

I will always be surprised at how quickly things happened, and how right it felt. It is so strange how underneath years of harmless flirting there was a romance I didn't know existed.

I can't deny, I've always been attracted to JJ, I mean, he's more than good-looking by anyone's standards, but I thought that was all it was- a physical attraction. I was surprised by the gesture, but I was even more surprised as to how I responded to it.

No POV:

The rest of the night was a blur to all involved. JJ and Kiara were in their own bubble of happiness, with Pope sulking around the corner.

Fortunately, Pope did not see JJ and Kiara's kiss, as it would have ruined the moment, but he was still annoyed at them being so close and spending the whole night together.

Timeskip to the end of the night

Sarah and Kiara slipped into more comfortable attire and had just flopped down onto Sarah's bed.

"You looked like you were having fun tonight," Kiara pointed out to Sarah.

"Yeah. John B is just so... amazing. He cares about me, more than anyone else. The fact that I ever wasted my time with Topper makes me want to gag. Anyways," Sarah sat up before continuing, "Why are we talking about me? You obviously had some fun tonight too. You spent the entire time with JJ!"

"I- I don't really know what happened there. It was all kind of sudden," A warm glow spread across Kiara's grinning face.

"So, did anything happen?"

"U-Umm..."

"Oh my god! I knew it! I always thought you two would look cute together. John B is gonna flip when I tell him!" Sarah reached for her phone.

"Sarah- wait! Do you think you could just wait a bit before you tell anyone? I mean, I don't want Pope to find out and for things to get weird. I finally fixed things up with him, I don't want to ruin it." Kiara spoke hesitantly

"Aw sorry! I didn't mean to!" 

"I- It's fine."
