Chapter 1. Travel

I'm sitting in my bedroom bored, don't know what to do. I have so much homework to do, but I'm not going to be doing ti. Looking through my bedroom window, I think of my future, and tears start falling down my cheeks.

Let me tell you something about myself:

Hi, my name is Hope. I'm 17 years old, almost 18. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I'm from a small country called Croatia. My best friend is Lola, but things are complicated now. My other best friend is Nila. Lola doesn't like Nila that much. Loola is my longest friend, we've been best friends for 11 years and I've known Nila for almost 3 years but I spent so much more time here than with Lola because we are in the same class.
I've never had a boyfriend, not even a first kiss. I've always been that one quiet girl at the back of the class in middle school. Now I'm a little more open. Since high school started I've met more people and now I have more friends. I really like music, but I can't sing or dance, just simple moves.

It's summer which means it's almost my 18th birthday. For my birthday we are going to America. It was my dream to go to the USA and now I finally can. I'm bringing my two best friends with me, I want them to start getting along. 

There a loud knock on my door.

"Are you ready sweetie?" my mom asked me.

"Yeah, I'll be down in a minute." We are leaving for the airport right now. we are going to LA and I'm so excited. I go downstairs and grab my things. My dad is driving us to the airport. Lola and Nila are already in the car and they are waiting for me. The ride to the airport is 2 hours long so we decided to listen to some music.

As we walk into the lobe we are saying goodbye to my dad. 

"Be careful and call me when you land, ok?" my dad is worried about me, but he knows that I'm responsible. 

"Dad we will be ok, you can go home and relax." We hugged and boarded on the plain. This is our first flight, so we decided to make a TikTok about it. We made a couple of TikToks and than Lola and Nila fell asleep. I didn't feel like sleeping so I went on TikTok. I love watching other people dance, especially if they are really good dancers. 

We landed 5 hours later. I'm really clumsy person, and I don't know where we need to go. We were laughing our asses off when I bumped into someone and fell on the floor. I heard Lola and Nila laughing even more and I joined them. When I opened my eyes the first thing I saw was...
