Naira's POV

Why am I in the bed again ? This is like a deja vu, but this time the people around me were shouting which is just increasing my headache , I slowly opened my eyes and saw many figures infront of me but they were all busy , so I decided to pretend sleeping for a while

" Why the hell you were in my daughter's room" my dad grabbed James by his collar

"I'm sure he had his reasons Mr.Jones" Kartik slowly freed James from my father's hold

" So then how she end up fainting" my father asked again

" I don't know and the doctor said that she fainted because she didn't had any food" James simply said with a guilt look in his eyes

" And what about the stress and tension the doctor talked about!!" Rishi shouted this time

" Mr.Jones please understand us , we are just trying to clear the tension between us which was caused due to some circumstances" Kartik said

He is so formal , I've never seen him in his business mode. He is wearing a poker face right now , hiding all the emotions, why Kartik?

My father sat on the couch and rubbed his temples

" Dad don't take stress , it's not good for your health" Rohan said while handing him a glass of water .

" I want to rectify our mistake, from now on , I will take care of her , I will see that she eats , sleeps and do everything properly" Kartik said suddenly

What the hell!! No it can't happen , What is he thinking?

" Will you , it's just that so much had happened with her, she had stopped caring of herself" my father said in a sad tone. Was I really being careless the whole time, it is just because of one person, he filled my mind with useless thoughts

" I'm really sorry" Kartik said

" No it's not because of you , it is because of someone else" my father said

Now I have to really get up before dad spill all the beans , I suddenly jerked up from my sleeping position and everyone rushed to me.

Kartik placed a bowl of vegetable soup infront of me

" Please eat it " he said and then settled on the couch and started using his phone

I ignored him and drank the soup because I was really hungry

" Never knew that you were so obedient" Kartik said in a taunting way

" Don't get so used to my obedience Mr.Martz" I called him the same way he was calling me

His face hardened, " I thought, I was a arrogant, smirking jackass" he said smirking again

" What's your deal Mr.Martz, why are you here , and taking so called care of me" I asked him frustrated

He got up from the couch and came towards the side of the bed where I was sitting. He bended to my level and then leaned closer, closer enough that we could kiss.

" You played a game with me like two players play , but I'm not a player Naira, I'm the GAME" he said while smirking and then went out of my room.

I was in tears when he left, he's here to take revenge, not for finding his lost love or whatever I was to him. Suddenly someone knocked on my door, I wiped my tears immediately.

" Come in" I said in a teary voice, Laurel came in, she saw my face and then immediately hugged me

" You're like a sister to me, you can tell me anything" Laurel said holding my hands

" It's about Kartik" I said breaking down again

" I know everything, Rishi told me, but he didn't knew what exactly happened between you two , nobody knows , will you tell me, you will feel better" Laurel said

I nodded and narrated her the whole story, from meeting Kartik , having fun with him , making new friends, we both falling for eachother, me trying to resist my feelings, me getting kidnapped and all, the trip which turned into a fire disaster and the grand finale.

" You got a strong heart, you stored all these emotions and memories without uttering a word to anyone" Laurel said

" Don't tell anyone" I said playing with my fingers

" Never, we are sisters right?" Laurel said

I nodded

" So do you want Kartik back into your life?" Laurel asked

I was surprised, I always used to think about it, but it's impossible

" I don't know" I said

" Then you definitely want him back" she smiled

" But he's changed, I know it's because of me and he's acting all different around me, how am I supposed to do it, I know he's been through hell but so am I" I said

" Well he still thinks, you're that weak Alisha Cooper, he didn't met the real Naira Jones yet" Laurel said with a mischievous smile

" That Naira Jones is lost" I said

" We need that Naira Jones, who wears confidence like her crown, if we need to win this game" she hugged me again and then went out.

I was lost , I was thinking about what she said. Put it together Naira!, I said to myself and dozed off.
