Naira's POV
I was really thirsty right now, so I went to the nightstand and got a glass of water for myself, I turned around and saw shocked and confused faces of Issac, Chloe, Anna and even William.
James had taken Kartik out for some fun and all, so that I could tell these guys about the real story .
" So ...?" I asked to break the uncomfortable silence
Chloe came and hugged me tightly
" Omg, I never knew that you were kidnapped by Karan" Chloe said with worry written all over her face
" Nobody knew Chloe" I said and came out of her hug
Then Anna and Issac also hugged me and left me alone with William in my room. He wanted to speak but something was stopping him.
" You don't have to say anything William, it's ok" I said shrugging my shoulders
He took a deep breath
" I'm really sorry for what happened to you, but you should tell Kartik, trust me, he ain't good with lies" he said with some emotion and left me
If William is saying it, then it really means a lot.
...............
Night
I was taking deep breaths, I couldn't sleep, I kept thinking of William's words, he's right, I have to tell Kartik someday.
I didn't even know, but I just got up from my bed with a blank mind and walked to Kartik's room's door and started knocking on it, and surprisingly he was still awake.
Note the sarcasm.
" What are you doing here?" He asked with an amused expression
" I need to show you something, I can't sleep" I said
" Are you ok?" He asked a little bit concerned
" Just come with me" I said and he immediately followed me with a confused expression.
After taking many turns and punching in the code, we finally reached to Karan's cell in the dungeon.
" Karan is that you?" He asked through the bars with a shocked expression
Karan looked at him and gave him an evil smile
" Oh! Look who's finally here"
Kartik turned around and faced me with a very furious expression.
" Explain this Naira Jones, right now" he shouted at me
" Stop shouting, I'm not good with stress, anxiety or these type of things" I said
" Haha...you should listen to your girl Kartik, she's right" he said laughing like a maniac
He knew that all the reason behind this was 'him'.
" What does he mean Naira" he asked me with a little low tone
I sighed and started to tell him everything, from the beginning till the end.
" There's one more thing, remember George Stevenson, he's the reason, my parents declared me dead, he was no less than a monster" I said , completely telling him everything.
" Why?" He asked
What does he mean by 'why', I told him everything, like everything and here he is questioning me.
" What do you mean by why?" I asked with anger in my voice
" Why is he still alive Naira?" He asked while pointing a finger at Karan
My all anger vanished by just listening to him say those words, it means he still cares for me.
" My brothers and dad wanted to kill him or atleast torture him to death because of what he did to me...." I started crying, every emotion that has been bottled up till now is flowing out.
I collapsed on the floor and Kartik immediately hugged me, I relaxed under his hug, he's the only person that can see through me, that can understand me.
" But I stopped them because he was your brother" I completed the sentence
" Well he's no more, give me the keys Naira" Kartik said
" My naive brother finally understood everything but not every secret yet" Karan taunted
" What do you mean Karan?" Kartik asked as he opened the cell door and went inside and stood infront of him.
" I just wonder why father made you the leader, you're so clueless. Remember the attack on your birthday, I did it" Karan admitted
Kartik immediately punched him
" It was really funny to see, everyone was blaming Naira for the attack, William even called her a mole, but you were all wrong, the mole was me" No sooner these words left Karan's mouth, Kartik shooted him.
Kartik bended to his level and said " You really think I'm that naive, you would have also seen that I never ever blamed Naira for anything, I had a suspicion list and your name was on the top , but before I could catch you, you ran away and kidnapped her also, you were gonna die anyway" Kartik and shooted him again and Karan died.
He then came out and held my hand which still sent shivers through my body and took me to his room
" C'mon let's sleep, we'll talk tomorrow" he said
" Here?" I was confused
He jumped on the bed and lied on it
" As if you don't like it" he smirked
" Fine, just because I'm too tired to go to my room" I said and lied beside him, it was like old times, we sleeping together.
" Whatever" he said and we slept
