Naira's POV
My head was still spinning a little bit due to the rolling but then everybody came and surrounded and making us sit on the seats .
" Are you ok?" Rishi asked
" Ya. I'm fine " I said
The family doctor was immediately called, he came towards me first to check me
" No, please go and check Kartik first" I said
The doctor obeyed and went to check him and then he checked me.
" Both are safe, there are some bruises on Mr.Martz's body, but they will be alright in some days" the doctor said and went away
" I told you that ceiling is weak, you should have never hanged a chandelier there" my mother scolded dad
" I know, I'm sorry, I'll go and call the workers to get it mended" dad said and left
Soon after saying soothing words everyone left leaving Kartik and me alone. I was about to get up but Kartik holded me back
" Don't go" he said and I sat back .
" Are u fine?" He asked
" Yes I am , what about you?" I asked
" You know, I can take a few bumps here and there" he said leaning on the sofa and showing his signature smirk
" Ya whatever" I said
" The others are coming" he said simply
" What do you mean by others?" I asked totally confused
" You can't forget them that easily" he said
By 'them' , he meant Issac, Chloe, William and Anna are coming
" Not to be rude but why they are are coming?" I asked, really not wanting to meet them
" You're brother's wedding" he said in an obvious tone.
" Hmm" I said
" What just a hmm? And for your information they already know who you are" he said
Ofcourse they knew.
" So what reason are you gonna tell them?" He asked intentionally
" I will not, they have to understand that themselves" I said
He chuckled
" Really Naira, I thought you were a pro at lieing" he said
What did he just said? How can he? I stood up furiously from my seat and looked down at him and stared directly in his eyes
" Whatever we had was real from my side, I don't know about you" I said and walked away, ya that's what I'm great at, walking away.
...........
Next Day
" We're going" Laurel and I shouted from the ground floor
" Where?" Kartik suddenly appeared out of nowhere
" That's none of your business" I said
" Oh! Sweetheart, your business is my business" he said with a flirtatious smile
What is he upto? I mean till last night, we were at eachother's throat but now
I looked at him, he was talking with Laurel, but he might have sensed that I'm looking at him, so he turned his gaze towards me for a minute.
His eyes shone like the day we first met and talked, his eyes showed genuine and sincerity like the time when we were together
" Bye Kartik" Laurel said waving at him and we went out
" Wow bipolar much" I said on our way out
" First of all he's a nice guy and secondly if you don't talk to him , doesn't mean that the whole world should stop talking to him" Laurel said
" What do you mean?" I asked, a little bit hurt with her accusation
" I know it's gonna hurt, but reality is reality, embrace it then only you can live with it. If we see you both were wrong and not wrong, so why not forget it, if it's destroying our present" Laurel said
" Now I know why my brother loves you" I giggled and Laurel blushed.

Kartik's POV
(A day before)
I entered the room to be met with a serious James
"You ok man?" He asked as soon as he saw me
" Yeah why?" I asked settling on the sofa
" I heard that you fell, saving your love" he said , back in his funny mood
" Ya that" I said
" What that? C'mon don't you felt awesome holding her again, feeling her close to you, and don't you dare lie to me" he said narrowing his eyes at me
" Ya it felt great, but she's moved on, the way she looks at me, speaks to me proves it , that she isn't interested in me anymore" I said, why James is being so stressful lately
" No Kartik, you're absolutely wrong, are you her?" He asked
I remained silent, he asked me again
" No" I answered plainly
" Then why are you answering her questions, maybe she's putting up the same facade of hating you and getting angry like you" He said
" I'm not"I said simply
James glared at me
" I don't know" I said finally and burrowed my head in the cushion
" You have to talk to her, this is your only chance, win it or lose it, sometimes every story has a twist" he said
" So you mean, she didn't leave me, she didn't betrayed me" I said furiously
" I didn't said that, but sometimes some minor details have great effect on the major ones, so look out for them" he patted my shoulder and went out
