Harry spent Saturday morning lying on his bed, basking in the morning sun that spilled through his window.

He had a piece of parchment held gently in his hands and his eyes were raking over it, as they had been for the past hour.

"Harry James Potter," A strict voice shouted splitting the serene silence.

Harry pushed himself up onto his elbows and placed the parchment on his bedside table, moments before the door swung open and an enraged Pansy stormed in.

She approached Harry with her finger pointing at his chest, "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO DRACO," She screeched.

Harry's eyebrows raised in surprise, "Pansy what are you on about," he sighed.

"HE HASN'T LEFT HIS BED, HE HASN'T GONE TO CLASS, HE HASN'T EATEN AND HE WON'T TALK TO US HE JUST CRIES AND SLEEPS," She fumed waving her hands animatedly.

Harry kept a calm face, suppressing the twinge of worry that flicked his heart.

"What does this have anything to do with me,"

"BECAUSE I FORCED HIM TO TELL ME WHO IT WAS ABOUT AND HE SAID YOUR BLOODY NAME," She prodded him in the chest.

Harry paused for a second, "Pansy get out," He said quietly but a threat lingered in the air.

Pansy took a deep breath, her face painted bright red, "tell me," she started slowly, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH DRACO OR I WILL TAKE THIS TO PROFESSOR LUPIN AND PROFESSOR BLACK AND GET THEM TO FIGURE IT OUT," she stamped her foot down.

"Maybe you should do that then," Harry hissed.

She glared deeply, flipping him off with both hands, before storming towards the door.

Her hand had just touched the handle when Harry spoke, "Ok ok fine," He muttered hastily.

Pansy spun on her heel with a new light in her eyes and a satisfied smile playing on the corners of her mouth, "Alright then, spill," she said innocently.

"No, First I need to talk to Draco," He decided running a hand through his hair.

A cluster of knuckles at the door.

"Go away,"

The knocks came again, intense and desperate.

Draco didn't answer, he lay languidly under the covers.

A murmur of unintelligible voices slipped through the wood before the door was opened.

Someone stumbled forward and the lock clicked back into place.

"Muffliato," The word fell from a familiar tongue.

Draco's heart clenched, "Get out Potter,"

Harry disregarded the order and took a step forward making his way towards the bed, "Draco what's going on,"

"Get out Potter," Draco voice was hoarse and his hands where trembling.

Harry sat down and placed a hand on the blonde boys shoulder, "I can help, just tell me,"

Bad mistake.

Draco snapped upright and knocked Harry's hand off him, "No, you are not going to treat me as a fuck buddy, when you know I'm crushing on you, and then come in here and act all soft,"

Harry moved backwards as Draco's voice became increasingly strident, "I won't let you hurt me like everyone else, so make up your bloody mind Potter,"

The words hit Harry with full force, like a blow to the ribs, "I- I don't even like guys," he lied.

"Oh yeah, because the way you kissed me says something completely different,"

"Stop being so self obsessed Malfoy, I don't like you and I never will," Harry spat as he regained confidence.

"Then get out,"

Harry turned on his heel and left the room slamming the door with all his force.

The ring of the door buzzed like Harry's words in the pale boys mind.

"Draco, what just happened," Pansy spoke softly from the doorway.

"Please, just leave me be," Draco begged, tears streaming from his eyes.

Breath caught in his chest as his muscles clenched and his chin shook. His heart was stinging, burnt and broken. His head heavy and eyes empty.

Pansy left the room solemnly.

——

Harry legged it through the hallways, tears fell from his eyes not from pain but from the pure numbness filling him.

Crash.

Papers fell to the floor, followed by Harry.

"Woah there Hazza, watch where you're running," Remus smiled, "accio parchment,"

Harry muttered a sorry and attempted to hurry off again but an arm blocked him right across the chest.

"Are you crying, what wrong," Remus frowned deeply, eyes flooding with concern.

"Don't worry about me," Harry faked a smile and ducked under his Remus's arm, sprinting off.

He made it to the second floor girls bathroom, pushing the door open and sitting down in one of the cubicles, locking the door just incase.

His head was spinning, guilt and confusion overflowing. He didn't know why he lied to Draco.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid," he hissed at himself as tears began to fall.

He slammed his hand into the wall of the cubicle causing a loud echo to bounce around the room.

Not even Myrtle attempted to talk to him.
