"Alright, last string of lights" I say while hanging the pair of orange string lights in my room. "Awesome! Halloween's gonna be LIT!" I tell myself. "Okay lights up - Check. LED Jack o Lanterns - Check. Black and Orange Garland above Bed - Check. Pillows - Check. ANNDDDD Horror Movie Collection - Cheeeckk!!" I said, marking my list. My room turned out great:

"So pretty" I said and sat on my bed. I checked my Phone. A text from Taron.
Taron the Rocketman 🚀🎹 Hey Baby! Wanna go on a date?
My eyes widened, oh yeah we haven't had a traditional date before...strange.
Hendryx 🔮 🖤 🌙 Hey Love 💕 Of Course! I just realized we never had a date - like DATE Date!
Taron the Rocketman 🚀🎹 Yeah we haven't. See it's only 12 pm. How about tonight at 7?

I stop texting and grinned, oh this is gonna be nice!!

I had gotten ready;

Afterwards, I grab my purse and head out. Taron was in his car - waiting for me. "Hey Hey" I told him, "hey lovely" he replied, we kissed but I look in the corner of my eye and Papa was peeking out the front window. "Omg Papa's looking. Let's go!" I jokingly say and we leave for the restaurant.

We soon find this Thai restaurant which was pretty good. I never had Thai food so this was a start. We ordered our food and then just talked while we waited,
"Wow, this restaurant is nice" I said. "Yes. I'm glad we finally got to have our Date" he adds. I agree, our food soon came and we talked a little more.
"So, I also wanted to say Thank you AGAIN for saving me from Chris. You saved us both" I told him and put a spoonful of the Tom Yum Soup in my mouth, "your welcome. I just hate to see you hurt" he replied while eating a Shrimp Lettuce Wrap. I sighed - "I'm also glad Zeppelin saved both of us too"
After dinner, we just took a walk. It was 9pm & We didn't want the night to end. We listened to the night sounds as we heard Crickets and Owls, it was peaceful. We also held hands which I blushed at, I never thought I'd be holding hands with Taron.
We stopped at a cross street and stood outside a diner and like in those romance movies - we kissed under the street lamp. We made out under the light when I heard a whisper of my name;
'Hendryx'
I stopped kissing Taron and looked around, He looked confused. "What's wrong?" He asked, "oh nothing, I thought I heard someone say my name" I smiled and we kissed again.
'...Hendryx'
The whisper dragged my name a bit but I ignored it,
'HENDRYX!'
It screamed and I looked behind me and there stood Chris. Taron looked and said "what the fuck?" He muttered. Chris smiled and said "miss me?" - "fuck no!" I called out and Me and Taron booked it for his car, we heard foot steps behind us running and we made it.
Taron put the car in Drive and sped off, I look back and He disappeared. Was it my imagination?
We get to my House and Taron drops me off. "Well Taron. Thank you for tonight, I really appreciate it" I said, as I turn to leave he grabs my hand. I turn back and he kisses me, I think Papa was looking out the window but I didn't care.
We made out in the driveway in his car. It was going on 5 minutes and soon we hear a harsh knock on the passenger window, I jump and turn to see Papa at the window with a disapproving look, "get in the house" he says and walks back on the porch into the house, I giggle and look at Taron. "Damn David almost gave me a heart attack" he muttered. "Okay Dryx, good night. I'll see you in the morning" he says.
We hug and I get out the car and walk to the porch, I wave and he waved back and drives off. I get in the house, papa and dad are standing there, in Pajamas like I woke them up at 3 am by sneaking in.
"Hey Dad, Papa. What's up?" I asked, locking the door. "So that's what's we're doing now - making out in the drive way?" Papa asked, arms crossed. "It was supposed to be a quick peck and be gone" I explained, "I get it Dryx, but you guys don't need to be making out, you just got with Taron - take it slow" Dad instructed. "Okay Dad, I will - Good Night" I told them and head upstairs, "goodnight" they say I'm unison. I hear them turn the lights off and head upstairs too.
I undress, shower, and go to bed.
