Toby doesn't stutter that much anymore.
When he first became a proxy he had a pretty bad speech impediment, and actually didn't say more than a couple of words because of the bullying and abuse he suffered back home.
But when he got more comfortable around Tim and Brian he slowly started talking more.
They helped him through speech therapy and after a couple of years his stutter got a lot better.
Now he only struggles with some words, and it comes out more when he's overwhelmed or frustrated. But other than that he has a relatively easy time speaking.
