"I don't think it's a good idea bringing me here." I stared at the cup of chocolate ice cream longingly.

I was beyond envious of him leisurely enjoying his chocolate ice cream. It turns out we have the same taste. We don't want any flavour besides chocolate. I gulped staring at it.

"Why?" He asked as he put another spoonful in his mouth.

"I have band practice today. I can't ruin my throat for this."

One time, I ate ice cream after our music session. I got a sore throat for days and ruined my voice. I didn't want that to happen again. I had a trauma. If I eat ice cream again or anything that's cold, I made sure no band practice is gonna happen that day.

"Then, skip. I'm sure it's okay."

I glared at him. "Ugh no. I don't like skipping practice." I looked down and stared at it again with so much yearning. Oh, god.

"Fine!" I then scooped a spoonful and ate it greedily. I hummed satisfyingly at the taste. Keelan laughed at my little show. I ignored him and continued eating.

I noticed he was suddenly being quiet. I was too busy eating at my now half a cup of ice cream while ignoring his presence. Finding his silence strange, I looked at him finally. I caught him staring straight at me with no hint of embarrassment.

"Why are you staring at me like that." I abandoned my ice cream feeling suddenly awkward with his green eyes looking at me. His eyes are truly gorgeous. It was almost transparent and I could be sucked in anytime with how intense it was.

He then leaned his elbows at the table while he angled towards me. "Why do you hate it when people find out who you really are?"

His question took me by surprise. We hung out for a couple days now. It's not like my choice really. He just drags me out of nowhere. My friends thought we're together and quite supportive of it. I have yet to prove Mila that this guy isn't what she or they think he is.

This is the first time he finally questioned that bomb.

"It's none of your business." I said with a scowl.

He scoffed. "Well, sweetheart. The moment you kissed me back, you are my business. I don't think anyone knows this but I don't kiss just any girl."

---

I stare at Mr. Charming while talking to some girl in the hallway. More like glaring. It seemed like he was having fun talking to her. The girl was brushing her fingers on his arms. I could hear their giggle and laughter echoing in the building.

"Careful. I never liked you in green." I flinched at Mila's sudden appearance. I bumped my head against my locker. She was laughing maniacally. Ha ha, really mature, Mila.

"I'm not... whatever you're thinking." I scowled.

"What am I thinking then?" She asked as she crossed her arms and leaned against the locker. I ignored her and opened my locker instead and brought out my books for my class.

"You know, you still have to prove whatever you're trying to is true. And from the looks of it, you're failing. I mean considering how you're looking at them now."

"Looking like what, Mila?" I asked exasperatedly, not looking at her while dumping the contents in my bag.

"Kyree, you really need to stop overthinking. It's not good. Look at him." She nodded towards Keelan. I looked at their direction. They're still in the same spot, in the same situation. I frowned. "The guy can't even reject a girl flirting with him. He's too nice. I'm sure he's just being playful and you misunderstood it." I frowned even more.

---

"Wow." We clapped our hands in awe after listening to one of Caden's original songs. Dustin, Mace and I were squished on the couch while listening to him.

"Holy shit, man. You did that?" Mace asked in extreme bewilderment. "It's really good."

"I agree." Dustin said.

"It'll sound better though with Kai and you guys. It's meant to be rock." Caden puts down the acoustic guitar.

"I already love the acoustic version of it." I said excitedly. "Should we play it this weekend?"

"Too soon. Probably next weekend or after we polish this." Caden answered.

"Dude, you're just nervous. Chillax. This song is gonna be a hit." I beamed.

"With my guitar skills and good looks, yes." I punched Dustin playfully as we laughed.

"You guys are having fun." We didn't notice that Deon, Dustin's brother was here. I eyed the paper bag he was holding.

"Is that food?" I said excitedly. "I can smell it from here." I got up from the couch excitedly.

"Why are you always hungry?" Deon asked in amusement.

I grinned at him, feeling thankful at the same time. "I'm always hungry during practice. When you're with guys who love to eat, it's kinda contagious."

He chuckled while messing my hair. The others followed and thanked him. We dug in with the food he brought.

Deon was pretty much our biggest fan. He often comes here to support his younger brother and the band. He sometimes brings food which puts us in a good mood. Deon and Dustin, like brothers they are, had little difference. I'm sure it's because Deon used to play in the band but later he quit. He said he grew out of it. It wasn't meant to be a career for him. Just a hobby. Although he still dresses like he's off to play in a concert. He's always wearing black and I can count how many times he's worn a different color. Deon and him are really similar. Even the looks. Though they both have a distinct look, the two brothers are gorgeous. And Dustin really knows that and takes advantage of it. Surprisingly, he isn't a playboy. He just flirts, much like Caden.

"You're amazing." Deon said as I sat down beside him on the couch. The others were still motivated to perfect their parts but I wanted to rest and not hurt my throat. Cause if I'm not well, then no play for us.

Deon's multiple earrings were glistening against my vision. He never really moved on being a rockstar. I laughed inwardly at that. I mean the guy is like twenty four.

"I know." I giggled. "Are you going to see us perform this friday?"

"I want to. But you know Fridays are usually our overtime."

I nodded in understanding. Deon's working as a waiter in one of the busiest restaurants in the city. Sometimes he covers someone else's shifts because of how busy they are.

"Would you like it if we hang out the next day then?" He asked as he fixed the hair covering my eyes.

I looked at him with a grin. "Would it involve you treating me to the fair?"

He laughs. "As you wish, my lady."

"See you on Saturday then."
